okay i have busting ass for about 3 weeks now....maybe 2 1/2...I have been counting my calories, I have been going to the gym 3-4 times a week lifting weights doing cardio, I have been eating nothing but fruits, veggies, oatmeal. broiled or baked or poached chicken and fish and ground turkey, eating healthy snacks like a serving of cottage cheese, or an ounce of cheese, or a handful of nuts. I did go from 176 to 171 but i feel like its just not enough for the amount of work i have been doing....when im not exercising i am chasing around my four daughters! This is sooooo frustrating, I went to the Doc, He checked everything right down to my thyroid...I am in tip top health. Even my Cholestrol is great. SO WHY CANT I LOSE WEIGHT????!!!!!! I am soooo down....God I'm so sick of this!
so you've lost 5 pounds in 3 weeks? I dont think its that bad at all...a normal rate to lose weight is 1.2 lbs a week...this is the healthy way to lose weight...the doctor recommended way so that you dont put your body into stress and dont cause any health complications...and you've been losing almost 2 pounds a week! I think that thats more than just great. Hang in there! ITs best to lose weight gradually and a slow but steady pace, than to lose it all real fast, and cause a lot more headaches that you dont relaly want to deal with.
How much calories are you eating daily? and how long do you excercise for? what is your goal weight too?
and stats? heigh etc...
keep strong, you'll see how you'll make it ;)
I agree with bananee - 5 pounds in 3 weeks is perfect - much faster, and I'd be worried. It's worth it to go slow. You didn't gain the weight in a month - it took time, and it'll take time to lose it.
i'm eating about 1500-1800 calories a day...i do 20 minutes of cardio and about 40 minutes of weight training. My goal weight is 140 but i will take anything in the 140's at this point...i used to want to go down to 135 but i think that number sounds impossible but 140 sounds better even though its only a five pound difference...lol
with the excercise your doing, you shoudl be burning an estimate amount of around 200 calories...seems fair enough...do you know how much calories you need to eat to lose weight? as long as you keep eating what you eat and do that type of excercise i dont see any problem whatsoever! in the long run you'll be a lot happier with your weight loss and your new body...if you lose the weight really fast all you'll prolly end up doing is gaining it all back as quick as you lost it. (its what happening to me...i would;ve prefered to have lost it the healthy way..too late to feel sorry! now im working to fix that problem and its gonna take me a while and im ok with that)
sounds like 140-135 is good enough :)
hope you reach your goal ;) and remember to not give up on it, no matter how long it feels its taking
take care!
