so as you can tell i wouldnt have posted this if i wasnt 5'6-5'7..this is a support group for people the same height so we can have an image of what each other lookos like since we are the same height and we probably have a similar metabolic rate. i am a quarter inch away from being 5'7 and so far i have lost about 40 lbs since january and i am looking to lose my last 20 or so lbs. I have hit plateau and its hard to lose the rest of the weight so i need motivation and am willing to give motivation also, so step on up so we can all help each other!!!!  (e-mal-  bobrulesandilovepatrick@yahoo.com)

I'm 5'7"  want to go to the 120's.
Hi everyone!!  I'm 5'7", I have a small frame (thumb and fingers overlap around my wrist) and right now I am 135 and maintaining.  My doctor told me not to lose any more weight so I am focusing on toning up.  I think if I were to go to 120's or 110's, I would look too thin.

So, my fellow 5'7"s, don't overdo it to get to an unrealistic goal.  I think even if you tried to get to 110s or 120s, it would be REALLY hard to maintain because it is not your ideal weight.
I definitely agree. And by the way, Jamie, you look fantastic!

I would never suggest that my weight is ideal for my height. Because of the body type I have, it's okay for me (I'm one of those long limbed people with tiny wrists and ankles.. definitely small-framed).

I definitely wouldn't want to weigh any less than I do right now and I'm up for putting on a few pounds of muscle.
I weighed 115-120 for years and was able to maintain that weight no problem.  I gained most of my weight when I started taking migraine preventatives.  The rest came when I had a baby.  I'm five pounds away from my pre baby weight, and then I have to get rid of the last 15 or so I put on due to the meds.  I think 115-120 can be a realistic goal for some of us, but maybe not most of us, or even me anymore.  Having a baby changed my body.  I don't think I could be that little again and look right. 
I'm 5'7" and living around Boston.  I've hit a plateau 139, but
I'm trying to slim down to 120-125, with toned arms and abs!
I'm 5'7". I started at 197 (one week ago after getting back on the wagon). I'm currently at 190.6. I have a medium frame and would like to be about 135 - 140. It's been an up and down battle for me. I'm hoping to stick with it this time because I'm so down on myself being at this weight. This thread was a good idea!

Wow, having your highest weight in the 130s or 140s, I wish!  I'm 5'7" with a medium frame (thumb & forefinger touch when wrapped around my wrist), my current weight is 206.5, highest (that I weighed myself at) was 225.5 a few years ago (I'm sure I was heavier than that around the same point but I refused to weigh myself.  I just didn't want to know), my lowest weight is unknown, although it was probably around the 110lb mark 10 years ago, and my goal weight is 145lbs by April 27th, 2005 :) 
Hey thanks Vicki! You look very toned in your pics!  I love the before and after, very dramatic! :)

The main issue I have is my thighs and butt... The hardest parts to tone, I have taken to running and doing squats and lunges.  Definately CC has helped me to maintain, I learn so much about which foods are good and bad from logging everything I eat.  My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I just tell him I'm trying to stay healthy.
I'm 5'7 and I weigh 110-113 pounds (usually wavers somewhere in that range) and I'm trying to tone up :)
I'm 5' 7". I started here at 170, and I'm down to 161.4. My current goal is 145 or so. The last time I was smaller that 140 was junior high. I doubt I'll get that small again. :)

I started out at 265

I got down to 170 but creeped back up to today's weight of 184...I've started fresh this past Monday...I will get to 155 this time.

I'm just barely 5'6".

8/5/04 Started at 195.  Currently using WW and some CC.

6/2/05 Got down to 145.

Currently 155 and back on the plan.  Trying to get down to 139.

I don't think I doing too badly for my 2 year anniversary of starting WW.  40 pounds ain't a drop in the bucket!  Just the hardest 15 left.  Going to my 20 yr reunion at the end of this month.  Should be a shock to most in my class.  Can't wait to see the gasps!
I'm 5'7, hubby say's 5'6.  We're sorta at odds about it!!  LOL!

But just so ya'll know ... I'm 5' 7".  =o)

I've only lost 7 so far, 18 to go ...
