so as you can tell i wouldnt have posted this if i wasnt 5'6-5'7..this is a support group for people the same height so we can have an image of what each other lookos like since we are the same height and we probably have a similar metabolic rate. i am a quarter inch away from being 5'7 and so far i have lost about 40 lbs since january and i am looking to lose my last 20 or so lbs. I have hit plateau and its hard to lose the rest of the weight so i need motivation and am willing to give motivation also, so step on up so we can all help each other!!!!  (e-mal-  bobrulesandilovepatrick@yahoo.com)

I am fairly new to the site.  This is the beginning of my 4th week.  I am 5'7, 31 years old and need to lose 30 lbs.  This is my first post to the site.  So far I have lost 5.5 lbs.  Although I would like to have seen more in the first couple weeks, I have been lifting weights and have already seen a difference in the way my clothes are fitting.  I will measure myself tonight to see how many inches I have lost.  Wish me luck.

Okay, maybe we need to come up with a day to check in or something?  To let each other know what progress we've made and to keep each other motivated.  Just to keep the "club" going?  Ideally, it would probably be good to do this on a Monday, but since there haven't been many posts lately, I'll post something.  I weighed in today at 150.  I've been teetering at 150/151 for the last few days.  I know it's because I haven't been able to exercise lately (it's been raining here), but I want to go tonight.  Hopefully that will push me off my plateau.  My goal is 135, so I still have a ways to go.  Good luck everyone!

Depending on how I look and feel my goal weight maybe a little lower.  I want to be at a goal weight that I can easily maintain and remain healthy looking.  I have a medium hourglass frame.
Wow, Kittykatz!  That's awesome!  51 pounds is great!  I like hearing things like that.  It motivates me even more to keep working toward my own goal.  Keep up the good work.

How are all the 5'6" and 5'7"ers doing today?

I'm still doing well in my maintenance game. It's starting to become easy now. I'm going to say it probably took about 2 and a half months to get used to it.

How about you? what's new?

hey im 5'6'' and 104 and trying to maintain for dance reasons.
but i j/ got my wisdom teeth taken outso i'm trying to keep the calories up.

HIGHEST WEIGHT  265 lbs

CURRENT WEIGHT  215 lbs

GOAL WEIGHT       150 lbs

I will wait until I reach goal to see how I look.  Then decide if I need to lose more. But I think 150 will be fine.  I'm 33 and haven't been 150 since high school.
I want to join too.  I am 5'6and 3/4!  highest weight 142, lowest 115.  Current 140. Goal 123.  Having a hard time losing but everyone said to up my cal and I should start.  today was my first 1800 cal day and between the gym and regular activies.  Expended 2800(1600 just to exist) and the rest with cardio and 90 min of weights.  Been doing this for 5 days this week and averaged about 3 for 1 month prior.  I JUST WANT TO BE THIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i lost 1 lb so far..and i havent been eating that well..but since i work out for over 2 hrs doing volleyball it doesnt matter as much..and i wont be on c-c as much anymore because volleyball and school take up alot of my time..okay good luck to everyone!

I have a small frame, so even if 110 sounds like its to low for my height its really not, people always yell at me for that and u cant tell unless u see the person. I read on here that someone was 125 pounds and couldnt even fit into a size 8 pants. So it all depends on ur body type.
Hey guys, I am kind of new to the site, and I don't have any pictures yet.  Anyway, I am 5'7, lost 50 lbs about 4 years ago.  At my highest weight I was 180 and got down to 128.  Right now I am around 137, which happened when I started working full time, so my goal is to get back to the 130 I was at earlier this year. 

My biggest challenge is getting myself to the gym consistantly (the funny thing is, I work for a great health club).  I'm adjusting to a different lifestyle of working full time, but I was determined to get in shape before, so I will get back there, and then work to maintain.

hey everyone! so ive been at 131 for the past couple of days probably because of volleyball :) id love to hear how u guys r doing!
I have only lost one more LB so I'm at 52 lbs lost!  i seem to be plateauing.. I do agree with the statement above about body type.  For example,  I would look sickly at 125 lbs because i have3 a curvier body type.  I think 145 ... 140 at the very lowest for me.  I will check on thiss post later tonight!
I'm 5'7 and 100 pounds... yeah, pretty thin (way too thin, lol) I'm trying to reach maintenance cals because I eat normally 1500 on excersize days but DO NOT WANT TO LOSE ANYMORE!

I just don't have an appetite ever cause I have ovarian cysts, an ones ruptured rrecently, and I'm always bloated and feel full, so I'm hoping to up my cals to at least 1700 at first......I'm trying guys!
