so as you can tell i wouldnt have posted this if i wasnt 5'6-5'7..this is a support group for people the same height so we can have an image of what each other lookos like since we are the same height and we probably have a similar metabolic rate. i am a quarter inch away from being 5'7 and so far i have lost about 40 lbs since january and i am looking to lose my last 20 or so lbs. I have hit plateau and its hard to lose the rest of the weight so i need motivation and am willing to give motivation also, so step on up so we can all help each other!!!!  (e-mal-  bobrulesandilovepatrick@yahoo.com)

Oh and I'm a male which makes me a minority here:). Anyway I'm now at a healthy weight (YAY!) but I want to try to get towards the middle of the acceptable BMI for my height.
Currently I'm 163, 5'6 on height, and a medium frame. I think my goal is around 125, but it might change when I get to 135 (see how I like myself then). Wow, I feel like we are custom ordering ourselves!
Hi all! I am 5'7" and weight is 145. I'm a healthy weight but I am looking to trim down to 135.  I'm athletic and have a medium frame.  I am new to this forum and it is so helpful to keep a daily food journal online.  I update it after every meal and just knowing it is "public" keeps me motivated and accountable.  :)
Hello everyone!

I'm so glad to have found this post!  I am 5'6 3/4 -5'7 (depending on how recently I've been to the Chiropractor lol).  I am currently hovering around 150 or so.  I'm usually around 135. That is my current goal.

Lowest 105 (I was borderline anorexic in college)

I've been struggling to get these 15 lbs off.  My 10 year reunion is coming up and I would love to lose at least 10 lbs by then.  It's so hard for me to stay on track on the weekends though.  Actually it's hard to stay on track at home.  My boyfriend is a carpenter for a living and consumes about 3000-4000 calories a day.  Very hard to find meals we both enjoy.  Hopefully I can find my motivation again and stay on track.  My work has moved further away so I now have to take the train and walk about a mile each way to work so that will hopefully make a difference in addition to my regular workouts.

Hey, its me again!! soo ive been really really busy lately but i have time to talk tonight! :) the scale read 127 2day..i dont even really try at my diet that much anymore because volleyball and my homework take up almost all of my time!! i only have 12 more lbs to go..yay!! ok well comment back and i will try to get on more :)

Oooo....can I join? I'm 5'6" 1/2....I noticed a lot of you guys have the same bone structure as me...small frame...and it's nice to see that a lot of you have the same goal as me or are already at my goal weight. It sort of lets me know what I'm going to look like when I get there.

I'm 5'6, athletic, and medium framed. I gained like 7lbs since May after graduating and moving in with my boyfriend (he eat anything and never gains fat), and now I'm looking to lose those pounds.

I live in a metric country, but I'm 170 cm = 5'7"

Max weight: 73.6 kg (162 lbs)
Min weight: 59 kg (130 lbs)

My weight this morning is 67.7 kg (149 lb.) Though that is not unhealthy and my BMI is in the acceptable range, I am noticing the beginning changes of an aging pre-menopausal body - my metabolism is slowing down, my thighs are thickening, and my energy is in the pits.

I'm using c-c to monitor my calories in and out. It's good motivation and sometimes eye-opening to see where everything comes in and goes out. As a result, I'm watching my fat intake and exercising more -  that's not only burning calories but boosting my energy and strength. Yay!

Ideally I'd like to drop 4 kg, to get down to around 64 kg (that's 140 lbs) but if I'm a little heavier or a little lighter, I won't mind, as long as I'm better toned and "genki." (a Japanese word that means healthy, vital, and energetic)

I'm still here....42 lbs lighter than my highest weight....weighing in at 171 with 28 lbs to go to my goal of 143.

Like someone else said, I haven't weight 150 since I was in junior high, so I have no sense of what my adult body is going to look like at that weight.  This thread is helpful for me, 'cos I can look at all the pics of folks who are almost there, or maintaining, to get a sense of where I'll be, because I honestly don't know how I'll look!

Right now I've met my first goal - my wedding weight (from 3 years ago).  Next is my college weight - 185.  Then high school - 150.  It's like time travel!
I'm at 5'7. Supposedly I'm a small frame...never really thought of
myself as one though. I'm about 157 lbs this morning.  I'd really
like to get down to 140. I want to see how I like that before I decide
whether or not to shoot for 130...I'd really prefer to lose a few sizes
and not let the numbers worry me. But there's something really
satisfying about seeing a few pounds drop. I used to starve and binge
on a regular basis since I was about 14. My body isn't too happy with
me. It's something I really need to work on, but I'm tons better now
than I used to be. I'm glad that forums like these exist, so much more
motivation than reading articles all day long! 
*waves hello*  5'6" here.  I started out at 220 at the end of
March dropped 20 pounds by June then took a few months off. I just
started back at it again mid August and I've almost lost another 10 :-)
Hi All!

Just wanted to update ya!  I'm down another 11 pounds since last month, so now I'm 5'7" and 227.  Highest weight was (and will forever be! 284).  Goal weight is 150 (or a little less . . .).  :D

How's everyone else my height doing?  Remember, slow and steady wins the race! :)
im 5'7.. i have a large frame.. my fingers dont even come close to touching around my stomach yet i have a toned flat tummy (sorry if thats bragging but i work on them for an hour a day haha) .. i weight about 117
Way to go Writestuff!  It's so good when the pounds start melting away.  I bet you've noticed tons of changes now too.
