so as you can tell i wouldnt have posted this if i wasnt 5'6-5'7..this is a support group for people the same height so we can have an image of what each other lookos like since we are the same height and we probably have a similar metabolic rate. i am a quarter inch away from being 5'7 and so far i have lost about 40 lbs since january and i am looking to lose my last 20 or so lbs. I have hit plateau and its hard to lose the rest of the weight so i need motivation and am willing to give motivation also, so step on up so we can all help each other!!!!  (e-mal-  bobrulesandilovepatrick@yahoo.com)

 I have no clue what type of frame I have, but I am pretty sure I'll look "good" at 155. I'd like to also tone up a bit and go after the elusive 6-pack which would be the cherry on top :-)
Hi Guys, I'm 5'6 and I weigh 121.0 lbs. My goal weight is 103. My highest was 172.5, lowest 113.0.

Current weight is 129 pounds. Trying to get to the magic 120 pounds and improving my muscle tone.

vacations kill me and I am going back home after 2 years next month. I am so worried that my mom is going to over-feed me when I get there (and of-course that I will indulge).

Hey everyone!

I'm 5'6", 19 years old.

Last time I weighed in I was 131. I think that was August 25th. I will be weighing in next this Saturday, so I'll update then on my progress. I'm hoping for 129.
Hi Guys, I finally got under the 130 mark, the scale said 128 this morning. I'm so excited. 13lbs to go! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!

while we're at it, I wonder if I could see what everybody else's measurements look like? I just took mine, so I really have no idea.

These are roughly rounded to the nearest 1/4 or 1/2 inch since I didn't have a tape measure and used string to measure myself:

--neck: 12"
--underbust: 27"
--chest: 32.5" (so small! wahh!)
--natural waist: 25.5"
--tummy: 29"
--hips: 34.75"
--thigh: 20.75"-21"
--calf: 14.5"

Just to remind you guys, I'm 5'6" and 118 lbs.

Current weight:  195 pounds.    I have a friend who actually almost wrecked the car when I told her how much I weigh, b/c she didn't believe me.   I have a larger frame, and I've always been an athlete, so I have a muscular frame.  So most people don't believe me.  The usual guess (by friends who will tell me the truth, and not try to sugarcoat it) is 170. 

I'd like to lose 45 pounds and settle in at a nice 150 pounds.

wow, that was like doing the AA speech or something.  i've been trying to accept myself as i am for a couple months now, and i think it's sinking in.  there sure are a lot of light 5'7"ers.

i am 5'7".  I started CC 3 weeks ago at 145 pounds...now weigh 139 so I'm very excited about the 6 lbs I've lost.  My goal is 115 lbs.  That is what I weighed in 2003 before I had my 2 children and I would like to get back to that size. 

I'm curious how many calories per day the rest of you are aiming for?
okay, some of you have high aspirations. i'm 5'7" , currently weigh 178, and really want to get to 160 or 155. i couldn't even tell you when i was smaller than that. i honestly just want to get into the 25 suits (size 14) that i have in my closet. if i lose more, that's great. just want to get back to a decent size. my highest was 203 after pregnancy in 2003. i joined CC august 28, battled a 7-week plateau and i am just starting to lose again. since mid-july, i've lost just 8 lbs.
thank you!  i was feeling like a slacker.  my highest was 210 or so.  i've been 150ish for 4-5 years.  145 would be good (i got 148 today, woohoo!) probably won't stay there.  but i really honestly don't think i could maintain any lower!  it would be too hard and i'd feel too deprived!   i wrote a topic about it a week or so ago ('self acceptance or cop-out?')  but screw it, i feel so good now that i've finally accepted that 150 is ok.  and it's been surprisingly easier to eat well and exercise often this week.  (probably also in preparation for a big Sunday brunch that i'm going to relish!)
i'm with you nirvrush. i know what i can handle and be comfortable with.  the 150s is a great range.  i was there when i was 17 going off to college.  i was 154 when i got married in 1999 (partly because i had gallbladder surgery and lost some weight). congrats on 148!  (woohoo with you)

I weighed in at 167.5 this morning and hope it continues.

Hello all. I'm still stuck in the 170's...175.5 to be exact. At almost 5'8", I'd like to be around 150. 140 would be ideal in my eyes, but I think that might be a bit difficult to maintain. I've been on a plateau of sorts since 8/31. I recently started a new exercise program, and although the scale isn't budging, my clothes are fitting better and I've lost inches.y hoping the scale starts moving again soon.

and my goal is to have a waistline of 24...but it is soo hard!!!

Being Asian there is a lot of pressure to be super skinny and I feel as though I stand out as not being good enough I guess, I hope all of us reaches our weight goal and we can all motivate each other :)
Cat, I totally understand what you mean about the pressure of being asian... I have all these friends who are super skinny genetically, with bird-bones and tiny frames... and here I am. >_< grrr.
