How much for a full body wax?

Quote  |  Reply

I was wondering how much does it cost for a full body wax? I'll be honest, I'm embarrassed about being a somewhat hairy guy. I usually wear long sleeve shorts to cover myself and I don't wear shorts because of it. Even if it's hot. I don't like being hairy but it could have been worse. I don't like it and I'm pretty sure girls don't like it.

I would like to get in shape first then get a wax. But I don't have a clue how much it is the average price for a full body wax. I'm going to save up just incase. By the way, how long does it take for the body hair to grow back? I read if I get waxed every time hair starts to grow it will eventually stop growing (which would be great) but I don't know.

I want to wear tank tops, shorts and show my arms and legs someday.

I have no idea about the costs, but I personally don't mind most hairy male bodyparts - very hairy back is off-putting, but for the rest I much prefer hairy bodyparts over (too) smooth metrosexual skin  Smile

It would take a few weeks for the hairs to grow back to their full length, it also depends on bodypart.

Im a pretty hairy guy too...and havent done the wax thing (ouch?) but did the shaving and hair removal products (like nair). Hair all over does get really annoying after a while and I actually like hairless better (feels a lot more cleaner / better...and doesnt shed all over the house like a cat o.O haha).

There is a really annoying downside to shaving though... the next day or two it feels like you are being pricked all over by needles o.O but it takes a few months for it to grow back to normal, so its not so bad.

I been considering lazer hair removal for a while (because its a lot of work to shave everything!) ...but still unsure about that.

Being hairy hides a lot of what your body actually looks like...sometimes thats good if you have a worse body, sometimes its bad if you have been working on things. But the biggest advantage of hairless is you can actually feel things like your sheets / covers / clothes haha.

I have been waxing my legs for years and was also told that it would stop growing back eventually. It hasn't yet.

I'm sure that the costs differs greatly from area to area, but here I think it runs around $250 ($25-30 each arm, about $45 each leg, and about $50 for the back and chest).  From what I understand, you really have to keep up the waxing once you start to see the full benefits (slower regrowth, etc.).

I'm just going to throw this out there -- I'd rather have a hairy chested guy than be prickled to death when hugged by a shirtless guy who shaved it.  >.<  I speak from experience -- go with the wax!

I can't help with much, but it does take an amazingly long time for body hair to grow back in full I've noticed.  I want to say somewhere upwards of 4-8 weeks, maybe more.  Of course depending on how dark your hair is, it starts showing up much faster than that. :)  But to grow back to full length it does take quite a while, I was surprised.

I don't wax but I have heard it damages(?) the follicules and causes the hair to grow back thinner.  From my one attempt at waxing it looks like that might actually happen.

Hope that helps some.

Men have hair, that's what makes them men, unless they haven't hit puberty yet :)

I prefer guys with hair .... ((just my opinion )) I mean its bad enough that women go paranoid about body hair removal ((I do too .... siigh.... !! )) just to make sure that everyone thinks they look good .... Guys ... please oh please dont get pulled into this... cause couple of decades later it will be a must for guys to be hair-less ((like its for girls now )) .... just my weird 2 cents

While I tend to agree in principle, after spending several summers working at a water park I find I cannot discourage any man from wanting to remove body hair.

LoL!

Find a local spa/salon that does full body waxing to find out about pricing, and you can ask them any questions you want!

I've seen it advertised in the $300 to $500 range.  It will depend on where you are and how "full service" you want.  Do you want literally everything gone, or do you want to leave a few select spots?  How smooth do you want?  Some places will go at you with tweezers to make sure they remove as much as possible ... and of course you pay for that.
