Hey guys, I wasn't sure where to post this. I just have a quick question.

Yesterday, I didn't eat very balanced or anything. It was a weird-schedule for the day, so yeah. But today I noticed my stomach seems a lot fuller today than it  usually does. This happens pretty much everytime I follow an eating schedule like yesterday's. I don't feel gassy or anything. My stomach just looks a lot fuller than usually. The thing is, it never stays like this. It usually takes a few days to go back to normal. What is the reasoning for this? Here's what I ate yesterday and when:

9am-ate a banana and an english muffin

12pm-brunch, consisting of 3 sausage links and 2 waffles with syrup and a few strawberries

1pm- 2 servings of mixed nuts

3pm- 2 servings of tostitos with salsa and almost a whole container of  homemade guacamole

5pm- WAYYY TOOO MANYY TOSTITOS! finished the bag...

7pm-2 slices of digorno four cheese pizza with peporoni

8pm- a serving of tomato basil wheat thins

yeah please dont judge what i ate yesterday, i know its all pretty unhealthy for the most part, it was just an off day and my day schedule was weird and stuff so please just answer my question =)

OH! and also, i was drinking water all throughout the day. i peed a lot, lets just say haha

thanks loves.

I'm guessing water retention because of the sodium content (tostitos, salsa, guacamole, pizza and wheat thins)

But I'm just guessing here, so you might want to see what other people think.

I get the same thing.  But, if you really think about it, it makes sense.  If you take in a large volume of food, it's going to sit in your stomach/intestines/etc until you poop it out.  Um, you don't have to necessarily post the answer publicly, but have you pooped since you ate that?  Have you been constipated?

Once you poop, your stomach will probably be less "full".  I wouldn't worry to much.  But if it's water retention, don't restrict fluids (this will make it worse).  Try water with lemon juice.  It's a natural diuretic.  I think grapefruit is too.  I find exercise helps reduce bloat, etc.  Even just a short walk or like 10 min. of stretching or  yoga.

You ate way too much salt yesterday, and that is probably causing water retention, even though you drank a lot of water.  The pizza alone probably exceeds the daily recommendation for sodium, not to mention the chips.

Back before I gave up DiGiorno frozen pizza I used to wake up around 3 am simply parched with thirst, and even a big glass of water wouldn't solve the issue.  And I don't normally obsess with sodium, I love chips, etc.

BTW, look at the ingredients on the package of DiGiorno -- it has a scary amount of sugar as well as salt, not to mention the long list of weird ingredients.  Just saying....

I get this too; I call it a food baby. It usually goes away within a day or two.
