Weight Loss

Alright. Now it's war. I worked and worked and lost and lost and got myself to close to my goal weight. I looked great!
So I started going out more, and started getting hit on more, and then some more.
By this point I had stopped tracking everything here. Going out means drinking. Drinking leads to getting phone numbers and phone numbers leads to going out on dates. Dates are great places to eat wonderful meals that have no relevance to health at all.
And now all the weight's back. I'm right back where I started. Blah. I can't have any fun. Anyhow, here I am. Starting over. And hopefully with lesson learned I can figure out a way to date without getting all chunky monkey again.

Your problem is that you seem to look at it as a weight loss, a temporary change in diet to get down to a more comfortable weight level.
You need to change your mindset and look at it as a healthy lifestyle change. Learn new ways to live, to eat and to drink that will enable you to have fun, go out, and not put the weight back on. Having a few drinks once and a while is fine. Having too many 5 times per week is not healthy.
Take a step back and evaluate why you are losing the weight, what you want out of it. And make sure that you change your life habits while you are losing the weight. Without changing those habits, the weight will come back on.
Learn once to be healthy, be healthy for your whole life

i know how you feel!
but just know as soon as you start exercising and eating healthy, you will feel great and soon you will be losing weight again!
just make healthier choices when you go out and you will be set, good luck :D

Alcohol is my best friend and worst enemy unfortunately! I like to drink and it does lead to some very exciting developments in the dating world. But I try to contain myself to once a week. Also, on that day, I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and not much else because I know I'm going to be intaking a lot of calories with drinking - this may appear bad but I end up drinking less because my stomach is empty and I get drunk faster:-)
Next time you go on a date, suggest a teriyaki place. Teriyaki chicken and veggies is one of my favorite dinners and is much healthier than fast food, or fancy style chinese food and such.
Just suggest a healthier place. My boyfriend and I go out to eat all the time, but we're smart about it.

Amen to that, cleverwhatever. It's a vicious, vicious cycle.
As a gal also trying hard to fight the battle of the bulge, I would totally LOVE it if a date suggested a non-food activity. A bike ride, a hike, a tour of a garden. Women really can't knock back much 'date food' without consequences, either, and going for the salad with dressing on the side is totally a dating no-no, or so "they" say.
Good luck out there...

I'm with you Noelle--my dream guy would be one who would want to go hiking with me rather than wine and dine me. I'm an outdoor girl...why does wooing have to take place in restaurants?
What they need to do is invent a 5 calorie beer and we wouldn't have these problems. hah! When you do go out, Miller Lite is the lowest cal light beer, and Bacardi Rum with Diet Coke is only 66 calories per drink.
Once you're back on top of your game I recommend both changing your dating style as others have mentioned, but also just try and only go out once or twice a week. (I wanted to just say once but maybe that sounds harsh).
Why don't you try dating girls who are interested in being healthy and eating healthy too.....then you won't have to worry about overindulging with food and drinkie-poos!
I guess I just need to finally let go of my 20's and grow up a little. I hate growing up. Grown-ups are boring.
Grown-ups ARE boring. I'm with you. I plan on never growing up!
Well that's why you should change your lifestyle not only your weight :)
Go for sushi? Change your drinks to a lower calorie drink? Find a date who isn't a lush? Play pool and have a few drinks...go dancing and have a few drinks. The physical activity should burn of a fair amount of calories, even standing burns more calories than sitting.
