Yay! Little sister is on!

I have had two good days so far. Today is going alright. I'm down 2lbs, but I'm sure that's water weight or something. I went to the gym last night and actually jogged on the treadmill. I've also been tanning and laying in the sauna. It will be a little treat to myself after workouts. I also just bought some new workout clothes, so I HAVE TO GO to the gym tonight.

How is everyone doing?

Hi everyone!!!! Good luck to all. I'm 20 and looking to lose 20 pounds. I''ve done it once and then got lazy! That is one thing you can't do. Once it's off keep to your routine. my advice is healthy eating, counting your calories and exercising. I am new to this website since yesterday. I started my plan on Monday and found this site and thought it was great. i love the messages, they're great! For you who are looking for a healthy snack rather than chips and ice cream I suggest veggies. You get used to them. My favorite is baby carrots and fat free ranch dressing. Fruit is great too. All low calorie and fulfills you! Drink lots of water to keep you full to! For the motivation, keep reading these messages, they are inspiring! Once again good luck to all.

I'm so excited that so many cool people have joined this group! You started an excellent thread Margod! So anyway...I have only been on this site for a week, but I LOVE IT! This is the best way to find motivation. I live with my fiance who is 6'8" and can eat absolutely everything in sight so it is nice to know that there are people out there who are still human!

Ok, pop quiz: If you could have any celebrity's body, whose would it be?

I think mine would be Gisele's. I would kill for those legs Smile

Oh by the way, I lost 7 pounds this week!! Yay!! Keep in mind that I'm just starting and it is probably just water weight, but hey 7 pounds is 7 pounds.

Hello all!

I'm Meg, a california girl through and through. I'm about 250 pounds @ 6'0" even. My ultimate goal is to make it to somewhere around 200 pounds (maybe even 190!), but at the moment I'm try to loose possibly 30 pounds by May (I'll be graduating from college and I really want to walk across that stage feeling good and looking good). I'm hoping to find some friends and motivators here in this community that can keep me going, and naturally I offer the same support in return. Laughing

btw, congrats on the 7 pounds Sarah!

--> Answer to question: If I could have any celebrity's body? Luckly for me I already have the legs Wink, so I would have to say P!nk. She has a really nice athletic body, she's toned and slim without being model thin. I really wish I had her abs.

Hi Meg! I like your goal for graduation. I wish I was back in college again!

Sarah, I totally agree - I would love to look like Gisele. Congrats on your 7lbs!!

Hope everyone has a good toady tomorrow!!

Hi my name is Ashley. I'm 5'7 and I want to lose 82 pounds by Oct. I just joined today and yea. I live in Oregon as well. I have 2 lil girls, the oldest is 19 months and my youngest is 6 months old.

Also new here, 23 from Wisconsin... I've got QUITE a long way to go (100 lbs basically) but am excited because it's only day 2 (officially), but I have lost 2 lbs, so... :-) I like the motivation here and it's all very practical. I guess I would love to look like Angelina Jolie, she's svelte, toned arms, and looks elegant. Or Shakira for her abs :-)

Completely understand the bit about trying to talk yourself out of of into excercise! I work out with my sister who lives just a few blocks away. I started calling her cell phone twice this morning just wishing I could go back to sleep. But I made it through, let's hope it gets easier!

set24 - congrats!  it is so encouraging when I see that this is working for other people.  Then when I have the not-so-great days, and the scale is discouraging, I just think of you guys... it worked for them so it WILL work for me too!

Celebrity = old britney spears... back in her slave for you/toxic days.

Hi - My name is Kate and I am 22 years old from Bettendorf, IA. I've been a member of the old calorie count site for a couple of years but I really haven't used it to help myself, just popped in every so often (wasn't very internet savy) Anyways, so here I am, looking to lose around 15lbs and looking for every kind of encouragement I can. Oh, for the celebrity body I would love to have? Definitly Gisele's. I'm in total agreement. But I am a mere 5'2, so I don't know if Victoria's Secret will be calling me in for the cover anytime soon Wink
24 YRS OLD  5'11 IN NEW JERSEY - LOOKING TO LOSE AT LEAST 20  BUT 30 WOULD BE GREAT AND 40 WOULD BE AWESOME! - LAST STRETCH OF WEIGHT LOSS FOR MY GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY - 3 YRS AGO WAS 487 NOW IM 230 - THRILLED AT 230 WOULD BE EVEN BETTER AT 190 - IM SO READY! - DOING THE LO CAL WAY I HATE TO EXERCISE UGH
Its good to know that there are people here that are around the same height as me that are having the same struggles.  Being tall you kinda hide the weight better because of your length but we know whats really going on when you step on the scale.  24 and 5"10

hello all, my name's daetara, i'm 26 and in virginia...hoping to drop about 55 pounds to get out of the "severely overweight" bmi zone. i'm also trying to get into a better lifestyle since we're thinking about starting a family soon, so decided low-cal was a better choice than the low-carb. i just started going to the gym every morning before work, and i've cut out sodas and sugary items. so far my biggest problem has been when my stomach gets all gurglely in between scheduled meals and snacks...i hate that feeling! i always want to quiet it down with SOMETHING, anything, just to make it go away. hopefully after a week or so of evenly spaced meals i'll get used to it and it won't happen anymore.

i think if i could have a celebrity body, it would be beyonce or shakira...still plenty of curves, but nicely toned. :)

ooh shakira is a good one!  she is short like me!  and her hips don't lie.

ok please ignore the lame joke about shakira's hips....  i am VERY bored at work.  And exhausted from the late soccer game last night.  And then we ran out of coffee at work and i am supposed to survive on 4 hours of sleep and 1 cup?!?! not likely...

Hey ladies, I'm Mandy.  I am 28, I know almost 30.  I am trying to lose around 70lbs all together.  I could really use some motivation.  I love food and food loves me.  I am tired of being a size 18.  I want to look like I did in highschool!!!

oh i feel your pain!  i'm quite fond of food myself.  i half expected my father-in-law to joke about it in his toast at my wedding, since they've always said i only love my husband for his dad's cooking.  Laughing  and i'm right there at the 16-18 size, which is hard to find good clothes in...i hate it when stuff is tight in some places and baggy in others and gapping in the worst spots.

Hey katelynn26 did you go to high school in Bettendorf, IA? I grew up in Bettendorf. I went to PV for high school. Small world huh?!

Also, hello to all the new ladies and it seems like Oregon is really representing Smile.

Oh, and in case you didn't already know this...it's almost FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!

rmaddon-

hello to my fellow chicagoan!!  Have you tried low cal foods like grapes, celery, carrots, and you'll laugh because i talk about this a lot- hot tea?  :)  I just discovered the hot tea thing for snack cravings and i'm hooked!!
