Fun Girls in their 20's for Motivation!!!
Reason: Moved to the Motivation forum (since name indicates that is it's purpose anyway :) Thank you!
Hey, 21 here! I'm Jenna, in Hawaii!!! I'm 5' 7", and I'd like to lose 3 pounds of fat, and gain 3 pounds of muscle. I enjoy cooking, so healthy recipes are a must! :)
I need some people to help motivate me, to keep working out and continuing improvement. Any age works for me too :)
How do you add friends on this site? haha
hi margod! i'm 26 from jersey city and looking to lose 18 pounds by april 1st (a bet with my co workers) and an additional 20 or so pounds by the end of the year/early next year.
here's your daily motivation: go the gym! lol
How was everybody's weekend? Did anybody do anything fun?
I worked all weekend so I need to hear about good times from other people ![]()
Hi everyone :) I know i'm a bit late to the game, but I'm here! I'm 22, 5'5", and 253 lbs (eek!)
I've got 120 lbs to lose, with 50 by the end of June as my goal. Gotta get into the Navy - that'll kick the rest of the lbs off no problem ;-)
My weekend was spent at home with mom's cooking *rubs the tummy* it's a good thing she's counting her calories too, or I'd be waaaay off the wagon, instead of just a *little* bit off :)
set24 - thanks for the info on spinning! i'm totally going to check it out. maybe even this weekend... we'll see how adventurous i'm feeling!
i got a wonderfully luxurious full body massage! bf and i didn't do xmas presents this year. instead we decided we'd do something fun together so we got a couples massage. really it was just both of us in the same room, each getting our own massage. fabulous!
Congratulations goingtolookgood! Keep it up!
Margod: The massage sounds fabulous. Maybe I'll get myself one once I lose 25 pounds, that would be an excellent reward.
Wow, you guys are amazing! I started a week ago and was super stoked to jump on the scale today to check it out BUT I had a momentary lapse in judgement this weekend, and its name was Vodka. And Vodka also decided to introduce to me to his friend KFC, so I had a little oopsie this weekend.
The good news is I skipped the fried-ness and went for the grilled chicken wrap. What they forget to tell you is that it's doused in some kind of delicious mayonnaise, thereby eliminating any reason to not have ordered the fried stuff.
. Oh well, gotta work extra hard this week.
QUESTION: How do you watch playoff football and not drink??
Thanks for starting this post, Margod...I love coming back to read it!
Hi, my name is Jessica. I am 21 years old and I just joined this site yesterday, I accidently stumbled upon it, and thought it be great. So far Im just checking everything out. My goal is to have a stronger core, because Im into boxing and it's a very important element. Once I gain more strength I plan on cranking up the cardio, so I can look really defined. It's awesome to see that the girls on this site are taking things seriously, which will make things a lot easier when we have to motivate eachother. So I wish everyone luck on achieving your goals. I know we all have it in us, so just remember the next time you work out, and your feeling dead tired like you cant go on...you must keep going, because that is the moment that it matters most.
Jess
I have an evil friend named vodka too! I try to drink always get a glass of water with my drink so its not too hard on my will power- As for watching football- that is a tough one, maybe try only having a drink after half time?
I am 27 and new to this site too looking to loose 20 lbs by July.
Good news! Even after the vodka/KFC slip-up this weekend, I still lost 4 lbs - whoo-hoo! More motivation to NOT do those types of things so I lose even more weight.
I think you can definitely lose 20lbs by July...thats about 3lbs a month. You can do it!!
joannep17 - nice work! i think that this whole "diet" thing or healthy lifestyle thing or whatever you want to call it is more about staying on the wagon even after you have slip ups like vodka and kfc!
I am so jealous of those of you who lose more than 1 pound a week! I lose weight soooo ridiculously slowly! That's what gets frustrating for me! But, I'm going to keep at it!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
It so good to see so many people here!! I've been doind okay, going to the gym three days a week and yoga twice a week. I'm very tired today, though. Work is sucking.
joannep - there is no way you can watch football without drinking. especially when the super chargers are going to the super bowl! I just save my calories for a bud light, or have a vodka and soda. no calories in soda!
Go Chargers.
Hi Girls! My name is Stacy and I'm 25 and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm 5'7" and have over 100 pounds to lose. Right now I'm doing low cal but I'm looking into doing evolving that into some more structure. Good luck to everyone!
Hey ladies!!
Just joined today and i'm so happy i did! and this is an awesome forum! *high fives* all around! i'm 26 and live in tucson az. i'm 6' and trying to lose about 25 but would be happy with 20. it's the second week of my diet/excersise plan and am really starting to feel the effects. the tiredness. ya know? last night it was all i could do not to order a giant pizza after my hour workout. but! i've found a great snack: MISO SOUP! if you buy it in the packets (at any grocery with an asian food section) it's only 35 calories and if you add a little soy sauce it's only 5-10 more. it's delicious and really good for you. warm, comforting and tastey, good for the mind in those i-just-want-pizza moments!
Margod so happy to say GOOO CHARGERS!!!!!
My boys came through this last sunday and whooped some butt.
I'm a fun girl from Southern Cali and trying to lose 15 pounds but really trying to get healthy and stay fit. Hope to meet some great fun girls in here!
PIZZA..... That is my serious weakness, I love it so much. The big greasey, pepperonni, thick crust, extra cheesey kind. But I eat lean cuisines instead. It is a really good substitute. I highly recommend them. But every once in awhile, I need the real thing. I'm going to have to try the miso soup packets. That's a great idea.
Set24 - 2 lbs a week is totally reasonable. You are doing great!
