That's so funny because one of the girls I'm going with has a good friend who lives in Chennai!  So we're staying there for a few days with his family.  I'll definitely have to look into Mahabalipuram.  Yeah I am so incredibly excited, and I heard that I'm pretty much guaranteed to get sick!

Do you know of some good stomach medicine?  I heard over-the-counter stuff was ok, any suggestions?  Also anything else you could tell me to see would be awesome.

yep, you'll get sick.  all 25 of us got sick at some point or another.  i would recommend getting a prescription of cipro.  if you tell your dr. where you're going, it should be pretty easy to get.  i think it is an antibiotic, but also helps w/diarhea.  but also bring some type of anti-diarhea medicine because that was actually what the problem was for most.  people are so happy in chennai!  in dehli they were not quite as friendly.  have fun!!!!!
Hello! I'm 20 years old from Washington. I'm down 12 lbs from the start of the year but have about 140lbs to go. I'm trying to lose it all by my graduation next May but tentatively I want to be down about 80 before by 21st birthday in August. Wish me luck!

Hi all! I am pretty new to this site and a little shy, so I am making this post so I can hopefully make some motivation friends to keep me on track!! :)

I am 22 years old and I am living in Japan right now, I have been here 8 months and I have until May 11th before I go home! I want to loose 20 pounds before I go home to Canada! And hopefully another 20 pounds for when I start school in the fall!!

Help! I had a bad weekend! School just started up and it was a tough week and of course i feel into my lazy self. i was tired from having pushed myself so hard this week that i didn't count hardly anything this weekend. I gained like 5lbs! I wasn't that bad i still eat healthy stuff i just ate a little more of it. how do you find a balance?

Hey everyone.  Just wanted to introduce myself...I am new here, my name is Lauren and I am 22 years old from Virginia.  I joined this website for motivation and to meet people who are trying to get in shape as well!

My goal is to lose 20 pounds.  I gained so much weight when I moved out of my parents house to go away to school.  Too many parties and late nights at IHOP lol.  Feel free to message me if you want a buddy!

Hi, Mandy here (21) My fav excercise is power crunches. I love ab workouts. I always feel like i got something out of it and that is the best feeling. I love to be sore the next day because then i know i got some good out of the workout.

Hi there Margod51...

I saw your post and thought I would reply. :D My name is Margo and I'm 28 in Massachusetts.  I just really started back with Calorie Count Plus last week or so.  I have lost almost 2 1/2 lbs. already..whoohoo! I'm looking to lose 20 lbs. by May *I figure that's a healthy timeframe, if I lose 1 lb. a week..* Anyway, I'm doing what I can to do workouts (cardio kickboxing and weight lifting classes at my local gym) and also hired a personal trainer this past month...so far so good. I like the PT so much I am going to do that for one more month..so we'll see.

Anyway..glad to see so many positive 20 somethings out there. Hope to get some feedback and meet some new ppl. :D

Have a great day! ttyl.

26 and from Texas, 6'1" looking to drop 20 lbs in time for all the weddings I am in this summer. (sadly, none are mine....)  My biggest problem is the weekends when I eat whatever I want and drink wine!  How is anyone else able to keep their calories down on the weekends?  I'm great during the week, but by Sunday afternoon all my hardwork goes down the tubes.  Thoughts?
This weekend was brutal. I drank too much, ate too much, and had too much of a good time. I haven't been to the gym since Thursday night yoga. I had the day off work today, and the only exercise I did was shopping. I did go to yoga tonight, though. And tomorrow is another day. I went to the grocery store and got all my low-cal things and I'm ready for tomorrow......

Oh my gosh Margod! I was bad this weekend too! I'm really upset with myself because I ate like a total pig and didn't work out either! AHHHHH!!!

Oh well...back on track. It is nice to know that other people had the same problem.

Hi there, fun girls.  My name is Nicole.  I am 21, and I want to lose 70-75 pounds (hopefully by the end of the year, but I don't know how realistic that is).  I just moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina from Daytona Beach, Florida, so I figured that a new lifestyle was due for my new place.

I have used Calorie Counter on and off for a year, mainly to just look up the calorie content of a food, but I have never really used it to actually note my daily intakes.  I have been using it at its full potential for a week now, and I have lost a couple of pounds, but I wanted to join a group for some motivation.

Hi girls... I totally fell off the wagon :o(

My two explanations for this are 1 .... I work 2 jobs and I'm taking grad classes ... which means I'm running around like a NUT and just GRAB food ...

Number 2 ... I eat bigger portions than I'm supposed to.

Argh ... is anyone else dealing with this? I don't want to be a bummer .... I just want advice on some grab 'n go snacks.

 Thanks in advance!

 Zabrina

i like dried cranberries. I measure them out into like 1 cup baggies. they satifsy my sweet tooth and since they are little pieces they last forever!
I am excited I found this forum! I just started using the site yesterday and I am determined to lose baby weight! I am 21 and I am from Dayton, Oh. I am just looking for support and neat ideas for healthy snack food. I will be going back to school in 5 weeks and the hectic student life mixed with new mommy life maybe a little hard on my eating habits!

wow!! Alot of women on here!!

In regards to the two questions out there:

Celebrity body: Drew Barrymore or Kate Hudson or America Ferrara

Favorite Excercise: Zumba (but havent found an instructor near me :( ) and kickboxing, but right now I'm a member of Curves.

As a refresher, my name is Jessie, I'm from Fitchburg, MA. Getting married in June and since graduating college I have gained 15-20 lbs. My goal is to get down to the weight I bought the dress at...lol And my ultimate goal is a loss of 50lbs.

CW:200-205 GW: (June)180-185 (January 09) 150-145

My issues are well, I am not a huge fan of excercise and completely lack motivation to do it. I'm doing ok except for those random days when I go to a dinner party and my friend is such an amazing cook I have to eat a little bit of each kind of chicken he made...lol

And I havent had a big mac in weeks... thats one of my craved foods...

But mainly, I find that I love food so much that even after I'm full I dont stop because I love the taste of food so much. I can easily have leftovers after cooking, but its hard for me not to eat everything thats on my plate, whether its because it tastes good or I was just trained to clean my plate- I dont know, but MAN is that a seriously tough one for me.

Anyone have any ideas to combat that whole psychological eating????

jessgwilan - i have the same problem... this compulsive need to clean my plate or try everything at a buffet because it all looks so amazing!  I don't have a lot of tips...  I used to be really good at making just 1 serving.  but now i'm cooking for my bf and myself a lot and while most people would say that cooking for 2 or 4 is easier than just one, i really had it down and knew how much to make.  i never know how much bf wants to eat.  grrr... anyone have any suggestions???

Psychological eating is my problem too! My only suggestion is just putting a little bit of food on your plate, that way when you clean your plate you will be ok.

Also, what helps me is my fiance and I each cook our own meals. This works really well for us because I am a vegetarian on a diet and he is a meat eater that can eat anything in sight.

I know these tips aren't all that helpful, but they are the only things that work for me (and they don't even always work). Good luck!!

Hello all, I know this thread is getting pretty long but I'm relatively new to this community (just got back in at the start of the new year whee!) and I figured this thread was as good a place to start as any! I'm 26, from North Carolina, 5 foot (with shoes!) and with a moderate goal of losing 10 pounds. I know that doesn't sound like a lot to some of you but that is almost 10% of my body weight! I've already fallen off the wagon this year-- last weekend was the big conference football championship games and we had beer, wings, chips and dip etc although I really tried not to eat too much. I'm looking forward to getting motivation and friendships to help me stay on the health wagon :o)

I saw a couple of random questions in other posts like what celebrity body you'd like to have, which for me is Kylie Minogue-- she is very petite like me and looks fabulous, especially her awesome booty! And my favorite exercise in my somewhat limited experience is Step Aerobics.
