Hi all,
I was just wondering if we could all post music that we like to run to. (If you do run to music that is - some ppl only run to music on their easy days b/c they like to focus on their breathing and pace).
My running partner recently left for a year-long overseas program so I've been running solo and found that listening to super-aggressive music on my shuffle helps me TREMENDOUSLY. Gotta be fast, loud and angry though, usually metal and industrial.
Would anyone else like to share thoughts on running to music/what kind of music works for them?
The new Prodigy album "Invaders Must Die" is AWESOME to run to. Very high energy and the tempo of alot of the tracks is even a good one to match for strides. Gets me pumped up. :)
I listen to a little of everything while I run but when it comes to my interval, tempo and races I tend to stick to something with a good beat. I love old heavy metal (zombie, old metalica, Joan Jet), new hard metal (liken park, Katy Perry, Buckcherry), some hip-hop (black eye peas, fergie) and some techno thrown in. Granted I've learned to put play lists together, when you go from Fergie to Willie Nelson you just about come to a stop because they are so different.
I know a lady who is in her 60's that one morning when she was in a hurry she acidentally grabbed her daughter (college student's) mp3 instead of her own. After running for 3 hours to straight techno she said she would never listen to anything else while running agian.
