You can do microwave popcorn in a special bowl that doesn't require oil or butter.  I like to put cinnamon and sugar/splenda/stevia on it or garlic...you could maybe use a bunch of different herbs just for fun...peppermint popcorn anyone?

Here are some fun options!

Fruity Popcorn Snack
1 pkg. microwave popcorn
3 Tbsp.  butter, melted
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
3/4 cup  PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts
3/4 cup waffle-shaped cereal (like Chex mix)

MICROWAVE popcorn as directed on package.
PLACE popcorn in large bowl. Add butter; toss to coat. Add dry gelatin; mix lightly.
ADD peanuts and cereal; mix lightly.

Fruit & Nut Trail Mix

1 pkg. (1.2 oz.) low-fat microwave popcorn (100 calorie pack) 1/4 cup  KRAFT Parmesan Cheese 1 container (9.75 oz.) PLANTERS Lightly Salted NUT•rition™ Heart Healthy Mix 1-1/2 cups  small pretzel twists 1 cup mixed dried fruit bits

MICROWAVE popcorn as directed on package. Carefully open bag; add cheese. Close bag; shake well.
POUR popcorn mixture into large bowl. Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly.

Sugar N'Spice Oreo Munch
4 cups popped popcorn 2 cups  Mini OREO Bite Size Chocolate Sandwich Cookies 1 cup thin pretzel sticks 1/2 cup  chopped PLANTERS Walnuts 1/2 cup raisins 2 Tbsp.  sugar 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 Tbsp.  margarine or butter, melted

TOSS popcorn with cookies, pretzels, walnuts and raisins in large bowl.
MIX sugar and cinnamon; set aside. Drizzle margarine evenly over popcorn mixture. Add sugar mixture; mix lightly.

Hope these help! :-) Lauren

See if you can find popcorn still on the cob and then microwave it,string it and make a necklace, decorate a bush outside for the critters, drizzle honey on it,tell corny jokes, popcorn is something that uses all five senses so you might discuss -sound of as it pops, taste, touch, smell, what it looks like before and after it is popped.

I made popcorn balls with my preschool class (used to teach) and we used butter and marshmallows melted in the microwave then poured over a table covered in popcorn, give a few minutes to cool so no one gets burned and then let them dig in and make balls out of the sticky mess. It washes off suprisingly easily and then they have a snack for the day.  Or you can cover pinecones or toilet paper rolls with peanut butter (granted there may be allergies so watch otu for that) and then roll them in popcorn to make bird feeders to put outside.

FYI - you don't need oil or a "special" container for popping corn. just add 3 tablespoons of kennels to a lunch size brown paper bag, fold over the top, and nuke.
