How to be funny?...Pls. help me..

I have a patient before.. he just keeps on asking this...

 

I just want to be funny sometimes..

As what people say laughter is the best medicine..

It just give me additional problemmmm..

I have health problem,

I have emotional problem,

Attitude problem

and how to be funny problem..

grrr...

Pain is the basis for all humor. It's a simple fact that if nobody gets hurt, it isn't funny. This includes both physical and emotional pain.

Take this golf joke for example. For those of you that play it is funny.

Police are called to an apartment and find a woman holding a bloody 5-iron standing over a lifeless man.

The detective asks, "Ma'am, is that your husband?"

"Yes" says the woman.

"Did you hit him with that golf club?"

"Yes, yes, I did."  The woman begins to sob, drops the club, and puts
her hands on her face.

"How many times did you hit him?"

"I don't know, five, six, maybe seven times; just put me down for a five."

hahahaa! that was cool.. me either don't know how to be funny..

I wish I could be Jim Carey..

Another important part of humor is timing. I have a real life example that I will use.

Last summer I had a pretty bad bicycle crash. It invoved a trip to the Emergency room lots of blood, 8 stiches and lots of road rash to the entire right side of my body.

Doc:"What happened?"

Me: "I don't know, the last thing I remember is sitting in my recliner watching a baseball game. My wife came into the room and told me to go do the dishes or else. I replied with "or else what?" so here I am.

Keep in mind that my wife was also in the ER with me. The Doc and I had a good laugh. My wife not so much.

Hang out with some friends that laugh a lot. Watch and see what they find funny. Watch the timing etc. You'll develop your humor etc. A crowded theater is a good way to see what others find funny provided a decent comedy is on.

Now that was funny.  

unfortuantely americans love sex jokes and off race jokes. Im not saying to go google it but learn a few. Keep updated with politics, being funny isnt necessarily telling jokes just watch George Bush speak... then you habe plenty of funny stuff to talk about. NEVER make fun of someone to their face to get a laugh, NEVER intentionally hurt yourself to get a laugh, and NEVER be perverted with your joking unless you absolutely KNOW that everyone around you is going to be ok with it. Try learning a few " a man walks into a bar" jokes as they are always a good laugh. Remember that just cause they are laughing doesnt mean they think your joke is funny.... they might think your an idiot.... so be aware of how to distinguish that. Never preset a timing joke, dont LEAD people into a joke. Good timing jokes are spur of the moment and easy to read if someone leads you into one.  Hope i helped you.
