What are your Furbabies names?

Quote  |  Reply

Came across this article, and I know how much CCers love their pets.  Just wondering what your pets names are.  I'll start with some of my current pets, and some of my fav old pets:

Dogs - Great Danes named Clyde & Dale (get it...Clydesdale?); Teeka, Ginger, Harley, Chip

Cats - Kiara, Precious, Tick, Phil & Lil - WAY too many others to list

Horses - Maggie, short for registered name of Magics First Kiss;   Lacy (AKA the dumb blonde), reg name Justa Lil Flashy;  and Dutch (my poor old "mutt" horse, doesn't get a fancy reg name)

Misc - Bettas - George (now George the 2nd) and Hamsters Dolly and Comanchee

Babyuggie is my cat.  Or BU (pronounced Boo) for short.  When she was just a kitten, my granddaughter looked at her and said "Gamma, dats da uggiest baby kitty I ever seen.  A Babyuggie was born.  She is kind of ugly, but in a way that only a mother could love.  I rescued her from a trip to the pound.  I chose her.  There were 4 other kittens that were beautiful, but I thought that no one else would take her, so I did.   (>o<)

My fish-

The ying yang twins, old dirty bastard, dem franchize boyz, spaz, moo moo, grapefruit, ching chang chong, pumpkin, oreo, clear eyes, muddy, spike.

My dogs (2 boxers)

Zeus (after the god, of course)

Leila (after Muhammad Ali's daughter who is also a boxer(get it?))

My dogs

2 springer spaniels called Scooby and Scrappy

2 Cats named Crash & Coco ( Crash Bandicoot & his sister)

Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi is named Chappy--that's the name he came with.  He's a rescue dog and with all the trauma he'd been through, we just couldn't handle trying to re-name him for the second time in less than 3 months.

In the past I've had: Bucky-a toy poodle, Pepper & Ginger-mutts who were brother & sister, and Tom & Bob-cats who I named when I was 5.

cat- george

:0)

My first family dog with my parents...an Alaskan Malamute named Chimo (lived to 12, pass of cancer)

Second family dog with my parents...a lab/shepard cross named Opie (12 years old and currently living with arthritis)

My first pet on my own...a red eared slider turtle named Toby.

My foster dog that I'm currently caring for is a hound cross named Sam.

<3

Cats - 3(yes, a cat named 3), M (she's siamese and full of cattitude.), Pebbles (the baby) and an old stray that comes around that I call Matt Floyd.  (He actually answers to that.)

Dog - Buddy - cocker spaniel who died of old age last year.  I also liked to call him Ritalin boy.

Hamster - Junior - buried in the front yard.  He lived a good long hamster life!

Black Cat  <-- looked like that... don't know what kind of cat that is, but he was a feral cat.  he got hit by a car last month and he had to be euthanized.  poor little guy :(   his name was Hi Baby or sometimes i called him Dagi Jr

Golden Retriever <-- looks like that... got her when she was only 11 weeks old <-- looked like that.  she's 8 years old now.... and she's my cuddly BABY!! i love her to DEATH!  :D   her name is Hermione

Black Lab/Border Collie muttmixx <-- he looks just like that.... even has the white patch on his chest  :D   he's 6 years old now.... and adopted him from the pound when i read his chart and found out he was going to be put down the next day.  i couldn't leave him there.  his name is Bugly

2 Dwarf Robo Hamsters  <-- look exactly like that, both female sisters.  they're about 6-8months old.  they're so cute... they love runnin around in their balls, and wheels.  names are  Peanutbutter and Jelly

1 hubster/jerk-face mix  <-- doesn't exactly look like that, but still thought it was funny.  found him in high school wondering the streets when he was around 17 years old, and took him in.  he's 32 now.  WAIT!! omg... he's 33!  eeekkk.... his name is "Kreep"

lots of Dust Bunnies  <-- some are smaller, some are larger.  they all live underneath the couch, or behind doors, or under the beds ;) guess i should start cleaning up around here, eh?  lol  no sure how old they are... i'm guessing, errmm... a month?

*thinks* when's the last time i've mopped?  ;)

they don't have names.... because after you've named something, you can't throw it out  ;)

I have a Shih poo (Shih tzu/poodle mix) named Marley. And actually, I picked that name right before I heard about the movie "Marley and Me". Obviously, it's not even the same kind of dog though, lol.

Waffles

AKA

"Piggy PeePants"-- (Boston Terriers snort/oink/snort.........a lot)

I have a 5 year old beagle named Cooper.  He goes by many names:  Coop, Coopie, Coopie Doo, Doo Doo, Coo Coo, Coopus, Boo, Boo Boo, Coopie Doopie Doo, Bubby.  I love him to death!

2 cats: Steven Fancypants & Oliver Fluffytail

1 minature dachshund: Peanut Pennylane aka Penny (given to me at Blockbuster by a fustrated owner, no kidding)

1 doberman: Simba, the amazing foster dog

We just aquired Simba from a shelter in Vancouver. He's a beautiful red male surrendered by his previous family who kept him outside. It's such a shame, he is a brilliant dog who has gone without any formal training. Turns out he's AKC registered! Crazy!

I have three babies:

Isabella: She's a pound puppy, but I adopted her at about 5 weeks so she doesn't remember the Humane Society at all. She's pretty sure that she's a princess and truly enjoys looking down at her "Subjects" from her perch on the couch. She loves her collar with her name spelled out in "diamonds" (I don't have the heart to tell her that they're rhinestones.......)

Then there's Daisy Mae. She's a Golden Retriever. Got her during rush hour traffic in a busy intersection. She ran through dodging cars, so my BF, who drove a F-350 corralled her on a side street and we chased her down until she collapsed in someone's yard. We nursed her back to health and after I paid her $700.00 vet bill I decided that if her owners ever responded to the flyers and online ads, I would nicely tell them to take a hike. (They never did respond, so that was a non-issue) We've had some problems with separation anxiety and nervousness (I can't take a bath or shower without being watched), but she's the perfect addition to our family!

Last, but certainly not least, there's Luis (pronounced Loooooie). Full Name: Luis Van Gogh De Gaulle. He's a Holland Lop Ear Bunny, who thinks he's a direct ancestor of Charles with a Dutch artistic flair. He's the one pictured by my user name. He loves the Laaadies and anything crunchy. He's litter box trained, so as long as there's adult supervision he's allowed to roam the house and backyard.

We're one big happy family that defies Mother Nature (um, I have a Retriever and a Bunny in the same house?!). LOL I love 'em!

2 cats - Veruca and Satine (Yes, we tend to pick up animals after going to the movies...Veruca from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Satine from Moulin Rouge

I had a black cocker spaniel named 8-Ball, but we had to give him up as we weren't being fair to him by never being home.  Now he gets to play with two chiuawahs (sp?)

My "family" dog still lives w/ my dad- a lab/mutt cross who we rescued from the pound (she was born there, adopted, returned, then came home with us!) named Shadow.  She's awesome.

Other "family" pets that are/were still at my dad's home:  Tux, our black and white cat had to be put down at nearly 15 y.o. just before Christmas.  My rat Satsu had to be put to sleep too.  Oskar, our holland lop just recently passed away... *sighs* so many pets, but they all lived LONG happy lives :)

I have a horse named "Vic" -short for Counterfit Convict-- his registered name. My brothers horse is named "Little Buckey" -- not sure why he named it when he was little, oh yeah he also named his toy horse "Skinny Thunder" so he's kinda weird anyway.
