GAH HELP?!

Quote  |  Reply
I'm Kara. I'm a sophomore in HS. I will be 16 in about 2 months.

I have just completely lost motivation these past months!

I'm borderline to healthy weight. I should be 115-125 range (I'm only 5'2") but I'm 137. If I could just lose 10-15 pounds I'd be so happy! I've steadily lost eight pounds in two years... (hey at least I'm not gaining right?!) But, I've just lost all motivation! I just figured I'd start all over again, but there isn't a way to restart my account. It's depressing me because I hate to see a straight trend line when I'm supposed to be at my goal wieight by January 12th!

I use to run five times a week but that steadily stopped as no one could drive me to the YMCA! I ran around the block when it was warm enough!

I've just been stuck at 136-137 for SO LONG. I just can't seem to get over this point. I dieted for a while, as well as excersized and I lost one pound! But I just can't seem to keep motivation for more than 3 months!

Can anyone help me? Maybe success stories will help? Please!

Thanks!

Kara... I opened my account In June, but not even losing weight, i gained 5 lbs-ish (I didn't use this account at that time). I didn't try to erase what I use to have in the past.. its a reminer so I would fight harder n harder..:))
Do not give up!! There're way more ppl thats struggling harder than u and me.. if they could, then so do we ;)
Thanks. I JUST figured out how to reset it. I am just one of those people who like a clean start! I'm going to do everything right.

I'm trying to JUST eat fruits/veggies most of the time instead of processed junk food, potato chips and such! I feel better, and do better in school too! =0 Thanks.

Yeah there are people who have it worse.

-Kara

Thanks for the motivation!
Lol.. Good luck then :)) I'm still in college, so I definitely feel u, all the school works, diets, not to mention all the junk that they have at school, but it tastes sooo good haha Oh well, Good luck again!
Hi Kara!
Don't loose heart, girl. You know, I mostly go to gym to get my cardio in. But the bulk of my workout recently has been at HOME. There are lots of things you can do at home either using workout DVDs or doing your own weight training routine.
I bought myself an exercise matt (since I have hardwood floor), resistance band, 2lbs weights & 7lbs weights. Currently been using a DVD from BeachBody (SlimIn6). The reason I like SI6 because the moves are simple and easy while still challenging. Once you learnt any of the moves/sets, you can do a quick workout on your own (for short workouts) using the weights for additonal challenge.
There are other DVDs out there, you can even borrow it from library to see which one you like best.
You can jog in place (kicking the heel back and high towards your butt) while holding the 2lbs - crank up the music or watching TV. That will get your heart rate up and warm you up.

Good luck! ^_^b
