I've been limiting myself to 1200 calories a day, but today for Easter my aunt decided to take me out for dinner and a movie and even though I didn't eat all day knowing I was going to go out I still went way, way over.

Bread. Steak. Twizzlers for crying out loud!

A conservative estimate would be... oh 1800 calories.Probably closer to 2500.

So now I feel disgusting and was wondering if in the long run this counters out my whole week of sticking to 1200?

I just need a little support. My whole family has gone away for the weekend minus my aunt who's not supportive so I'm kinda going it alone.

=(

One day is not going to make or break your week. Sleep well and get right back on track tomorrow :)

<3

Thanks.

i can totally relate on how you feel.. i just ate close to 2500 today. and i havent had dinner yet. idk if i'm going to eat, coz i dont think there is still a room for food in my tummy. i have been bingeing a lot this past week, and it's killing me. i'm gonna restart fresh tomorrow. and i hope i won't fall off..

it won't hurt you.. one bad day won't i guarantee. :)

if you didn't eat such a low amount of calories (1200) and restrict the whole day because you were going to go out for dinner, you wouldn't have binged.. duh.

besides 2500 calories is nothing. i eat that much to maintain my weight! sorry to break it to you, but if you keep eating so little, it will backfire on you and you will gain weight. if you don't believe me, go find all those posts people make saying "i'm gaining weight! but i never go over 1200 calories and i exercise a lot!" stop messing around with your intake, and just find how much you really need and eat that (if you're under 21 or if you exercise, it should definitely be atleast 1500). when you stop undereating, the uncontrollable overeating episodes will dissappear, i promise. good luck Smile

i don't think it will do any harm. it might even result into something good since you've been eating so few calories..it might give your metabolism a boost. imo i think its fine to have a higher calorie day during the week. it switches things up and puts your body to work.

Actually, the recommended calories on this thing IS 1250. =/

It used to be 1500, but I weighed myself wrong orginally and was off by 10 pounds so.....

But thanks for the support.

The recomended calories for this sight are often not correct.  Here it doesnt take into account age, so you can have a recomended calorie intake of 1200 when you are under 21, which is not healthy.  Also it helps to calculate BMR using a much more detailed calculator that takes into account percentage of body fat and measurements as well as just weight.

Its a holiday. Quit beating yourself up. In fact make this a "pig out" day and enjoy yourself.

On Monday morning you can get back on track. Good luck!

Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
