I am pretty sure that i have gained 3lbs in muscle over the last 3weeks or so? Does that sound right? Can it be?

The maximum of muscle you can gain in a week is 1 pound. But that is if you did some ahrd weight training. It could be some muscle and water weight. If you've watch what you ate, I doubt it's fat.

I eat the same as i always do. i eat healthy foods but recently i have added some more calories and more protein. i workout 4x per week and i do really good cardio and weight training. the only thing in my routine that has changed is that i am doing more squats and lunges to tighten glutes, hammies, and quads.
Ok watched video. that seems about right. i have added like 15 or more grams per protein per day last cpl of weeks.
Wow! That is a very interesting video, if you listen to what he said you can gain a pound of muscle in a week! What is he smoking! The human body does not adapt that fast it is impossible to do what he is saying. Of course you sre going to gain weight if you consume extra grams of protein a day, you will also gain if you an extra candy bar, it takes the human body 4-6 weeks to have a physiological repsonse to weight training, i.e. build muscle. Everybody's weight fluctuates and if it was that fast it is water weight or you are getting too many calories. If you listen to this guy i should be able to put on 52 pounds of muscle a year! Guy's that are taking 2,000 mg of steroids a week don't even do that!

You should really do some of your own research, there are a ton of studies that you can read, this guy is really wrong!
i am pretty positive some of gain is muscles, i can feel it. i am sure i am not eatin gto many cals maybe to little. i eat 1300-1600 daily. except on saturdays may have 1800-2500 b/c this is my cal relax day but i dont do that every saturday. 5'3 111lbs 26 years old and go to gym 4x per wk

If you listen to him closer you will see that he said you can gain maximum 1 pound of muscle a week. Not that you can do it every week. It takes time to build muscle but the maximum you can gain is 1 pound. He doesn,t say taht it's easy and you will gain a pound each week with moderate exercise.

He made this video cause osme people said that they gain 2 pound each week and they tough it was muscle so he tried to told them that they were also gaining fat with their muscle.

Please listen carefully next time and also, check all his videos.
Just because you feel your muscles and see your muscles more in your legs does not mean that you have put on pounds of muscle.

It could be that they were covered with fat, and in the last few weeks, the fat is dropping on your legs and thus showing the muscles more than before.

Either way, its a good thing =)
If it takes time to build muscle, then how can someone gain a pound in a week?
The max is 1 pound. I don't say you can do it because it's really hard but the max is 1.

Again, he made the video to say to people that gain 2 pounds a week and tell it's muscle. It's impossible. The max is 1 and it's hard to have 1 a week. It's to wake up those people to tell them they are gaining fat and need to eat less.

Is it that hard to understand or you really don't care about it and are stubborn?

Hey Amoria, I was just asking there is no reason to get so upset, some of the so called experts that have enough money to put something online can seriously mislead people, and I was just trying to get some clarification.

Just to give you some background I have a B.S. in exercise physiology and kineisiology, and I have been a personal trainer for 15 years. The theory this guy is talking about might be possible in about 1-2% of the human population, if you gained 1 lb. of muscle in a week it would also be accompanied with 3-5 lbs of fat. He doesn't mention anything along those lines at all, so the message may have been correct to a point, but there are a lot of  things he is leaving out.
I wasn't flaming anyone. I was just trying to defend my point. I know we have different opinions but I just wanted to be clear in case you misunderstand.

There's another video where he answer someone asking if his routine was really making him gaining weight and he wasn't lifting ahrd at all. So he said that it's probably just fat, maybe a little bit of muscle. He knows what he's talking about but his videos last only for 2 minutes. Check out his other videos, (he have 113). I saw them all and eveyrthing he said made sense and easy to understand. He never say it's easy, he say it takes perseverence, patience, commitment etc.. No magic formulas or pills.

Just check his others videos before judging him please, I think you'll agree with most things he say.

I can see you have a really great background and I'm not telling you lie! It's just that in your first post you said that guy is wrong and he's not. The max is 1 pound so if you gain 2 pound, it's not all muscle, there's fat in there. He doesn't say that if you gain 1 pound a week it's all muscle, he only say that the max is 1 pound to tell people that comes to him and see "hey man I gain 3 pounds of muscle a week". It's impossible. That's what he wanted to say.

Now sorry if I sound mean but I'm not. It's just a nice conversation between adult people. I'm not trying to flame, I like to discuss things and learn. But I'm out of me when someone is judging so easily! Sorry!
