So how much did you gain over vacation?

All of my immediate family abandoned me for Florida where it is sunny and hot year-round and I stayed in New York so I can snowboard and see the leaves turn. I do have a good vacation spot with free stays (multiple since my brothers have places too).

The bad news about vacation is that I eat like crap, none of them are really healthy eaters except my mom, and I succumb to it because it's vacation. No biggie usually, but this time I gained like 8 lbs! Only about 3-4 fell off, but geez, I was there for 5 days.

I don't mind it, it's not like I went back to what I was when I started this weight loss about 3 1/2 years ago, but it really showed my how easily I gain weight. I just have to eat healthy now that I'm back exercise regularly, but I have noticed that it's not coming off that easy either.

Does anyone else gain weight that easily?

I'm already contemplating how good I will be when I go meet my fiance's family next month in Tennesse and North Carolina. From what I hear they are really big on BBQ and fried stuffs. I will be gone for about a week. No exercise at all. I'm hoping to drop at least a couple pounds before I go for the sake of fitting into the clothes I wanna wear but lately after being good 3-4 days I end up binging. I've had to start over probably like 5-6 times within the last month because I'm stressed and eat a lot when stressed so I give in.

none, im too poor for a vacation.

Same here.

But I can relate to gaining easily. When I had the flu my doctor told me to ditch calorie countingand just eat until I'm better. Well my days consisted of eating waffles, Nutella, cereal, and I would either sleep or watch tv in the fetal position becuase I feel like poo. Ended up gaining 4 pounds in 4 days (Technically 6 pounds, but 2 turned out to be water weight.)

I gained 10lbs. It was glorious.

I gained 10 pounds in a week last winter at an all inclusive resort in the Carribean. I had like 15 sugary frozen drinks a day and the food was soo good. This summer I didn't go on vacation though.

I didn't do anything for the summer besides working out/exercising everyday :(.

I actually LOST weight on my vacation. The food where I went was much healthier than what I would usually eat at home and I didn't have endless portions.

I spent 2 weeks down the shore. I really enjoyed myself, wore a brand new bathing suit for the first time in years. Went swimming in the ocean and walked almost everyday along the beach. I ate great food, drank wine and even had ice cream twice. The thing was I ate slowly and didn't have all the extra's. Didn't miss them either.

I gained 1 lb. I have been back for 2 weeks and have lost that 1 lb and 2 more.

I'm a 1/4 pound away from a 30 lb lose. That's since March 16th. Yipee Cool

It was all tacos, pizza and burgers from the beach shack or on the way somewhere and I rarely exercised. I swam a little. We didn't have relaxing time to cook a good meal because everyone wanted to do something while I was there. The only healthy thing I ate was my oatmeal every morning, but that was canceled out by the partying/drinking. I just have to focus again and it will drop, but it's so annoying that I gain so easily.

Just got back from a three day vacation and I was up five pounds this morning... hope it goes away as fast as it jumped on...lol.
