Will I gain weight if I start eating more
Hi all - Im 5 foot 7.5 inches, and 125lbs.Up until very recently I weight 121lbs. Doesn't sound like much does it but I the thing is I havent changed my habits at ALL. My problem is I eat too few calories in a day - breakfast at 6.3-am is cereal, lunch at 1pm is fruit and dinner at 7.30pm is either a sandwich or a piece of chicken with veg. I might have a couple of snacks in between but I reckon I get about 700-800 calories a day sometimes less.
I really want to start eating normally but I am scared that I will gain more weight - I feel uncomfortable having gained those few pounds and really don't wanna gain any more.
How do I go about making the change and what will happen. Also why have I gained this weight.
I know that when you starve your metabolism, everything thing you eat will convert to fat andsugar, because your body thinks it's going to starve again, and you actually need 1100 or more a day so your metabolism doesn't slow down and starts converting every food into fat.
u will probalby gain a few at first but your body will even itself out. I would tell u not to worry but I know thats easier said than done. Just know that you are doing the best thing for yourself and your body. Good luck!!!![]()
I think that alteration in your weight might not even be real. Just natural fluctuations in the scale. What is more concerning is your overall lack of calorie intake, and you cannot be gaining weight on so little calories. Your body is probably STARVING and ultimately you are going to cause yourself some serious physiological damage unless you start eating more ASAP.
Calorie Count's mission is to promote healthy and sustainable weight management.
I don't know how old you are, or if you are male or female, but assuming you are a female adult you need no less than 1200 calories and probably more like 1500 and up. I am a tiny person (5'1") and LOST 35 lbs eating 1500 calories without exercise, so that goes to show you how fast our metabolisms really are.
Forget about your metabolism and the perhaps temporary weight gain while eating more. Eat 1500 calories and take it from there. Just up those cals!!
