8 years out now I gained!
Hi all,
I had open RNY a little over 8 years ago...lost over 200 pounds and it changed my life. I maintained for years and years, but the last year or so I've put on over 35 pounds. I joined caloriecount on 9/1 and since then I've verrry slowly lost 19 pounds. I say very slowly b/c the first 8 were on week one and ever since then it's been no loss here, a pound here, no loss for 2 weeks, etc.
Any other long term post ops out there? I'm wondering how the calorie absorption affects our counting. I have days where I have high deficits, and I'm wondering if the absorption is enough to make the deficit even HIGHER in actuality. I realize I'm reaching at theories here, but I count everything religiously, and exercise, and just aren't seeing the results I expect with the work I put out. Thoughts?
Glad I found this group! :)
