Quick question everyone:

I weighed in a few days ago 3 lbs lighter than i am now. What number am i really? Im maintaining and really need to know that i havent gained! I eat just enough calories for my activity level... 

im 18, exercise 1-1.5 hours a day and eat between 2000-2300 cals/day, burning around 800 ( really probably around 500, the machines tend to lie even tho i put in my weight)... this sounds right, doesnt it?

depends on your height and weight really...but it is quite possible that it's just a dietary change like sodium leading to water retention because it's unlikely that anyone would gain 3 pounds in a few days...2500 calorie *3 = 7500 calories, barely 1 pounds...and that's if you ate them above maintenace...so no you didn't gain 3 pounds. hope this reassures you :)

Try to weigh only once a week. This will be better than you seeing the fluctuations as previously mentioned....thus freaking out. I know, sometimes I do it too. But I know better! I try to stick with just Thursday mornings on the scale!
