Gained 4LB in 1 Birthday party!!!
Ok this is a little bit of rant.
I went to a birthday party for a friend's son's 2nd birthday and let myself eat without much restriction. I'm about 400-600 calories over maintenance for the day but I've been good the rest of the week and it still puts me with an overall deficit for the week.
I expected this morning to have either no movement or to be 1lb up but 4LB?!!!!
That means all the work I've done since the beginning of March was for nothing!!!
Could use some support and reason from others. Thanks.
This is most likely due to water retention. If you ate alot of sweets and/or salty foods, it will make you bloated. Drink ALOT of water, and it'll come back down within a day. You would have to eat an extra 14000 calories to gain 4 pounds in reality!! You're fine.
Ok thanks. I'll go buy a giant bottle of Poland Spring. Drinking it should be easy since its 90 outside.
haha tell me about it...maybe we'll sweat out some of this weight ![]()
now there's an idea I like
Come on now, use your head and do the math. 4 lbs = 14,000 calories. Drink your water as previously suggested. ![]()
exactly the same thing happened to me, and in two days I went back to my previous weight. I was mad during these 2 days, but you will be just fine at the end.
Thanks that's really good to hear!
wow, same issue! i went from 154 to 157 in literally a day and half. its funny how it can get you down and really affect your life. in fact, i couldnt even work out as hard as i normally do because i was so stressed out about my weight...LAME! just know that someone else knows how it feels and is putting up with the same thing from our fair weather friend, also known as the scale.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
