It was a huge walking holiday and I walked miles everyday. The food wasnt exactly brilliant for nutrition and the water was way different. Was it a culture shock or something or did i forget to do something?
dont know what to do now! dont look different (bigger) i had alot of salt if i really want to defend this, also had peanut butter and alot of alcohol. Water retention?

"Did I forget to do something"..... You forgot to say 'no thanks' to the alcohol. :-) 7lbs fat requires you ate 3600 x 7 (25,200) cals more than normal... which I seriously doubt you did. Yes, it's fluid retention. Alcohol, salty and junky food will do that every time. Drink plenty of fluids, eat plenty of fruit, veg and other wholesome foods, take some exercise every day and reasses the situation in a week's time. Chances are you'll be 6lbs down or even back to where you were.
yay ^_^ urgh im so tired of dieting and exercise even though i really dont do any anymore. need some motivation oh well
I've gained about 6lbs in the past month! I'm in the same boat!!
(culture shock here too. I am 20 and just moved back in with my parents for the time being lol. quite scary)
The same thing happened to me in June. I came back from holiday 4 pounds heavier than I left. Within three days, I was down 3 of the pounds again. Water retention'll get you every time!
You have to enjoy your healthier lifestyle if you're going to keep it going for life and keep the weight off for life. 'Dieting' is only ever temporary because it tends to be a miserable business and most people end up fed up, same as you. You only need motivation to do something grim and awful. You don't need any motivation whatsoever if your food choices are delicious and if you enjoy the activities you've selected.
Find a happy balance.... pick healthy foods you genuinely prefer to make up that 80% of your meals. Watch those portion-sizes, don't be greedy, and if you like a glass of beer and some peanut butter... keep them in in modest amounts rather than feeling guilty or thinking you have to go without. Exercise is the same... personally I can't abide gyms of any description but I love swimming, digging big holes in the garden, country walks. My grandmother lived to a vigorous 97, never stepped foot in a gym in her life and lived on a fairly basic diet. However, she walked everywhere or took the bus. There's a lesson in that.
gi-jane thats really good advice, I think I used the wrong word with diet im quite sure that what I drank is the cause of this it doesnt help that i was my birthday and i have a huge cake which im going to post a picture of soon :P
its a chocolate sponge, then caramel, then chocolate butter icing, then sponge, then more caramel and chocolate balls. gotta be 2000 calories in the whole thing and im only having a slither and i mean it you can all look and drool cause you cant eat it unless you book a flight...
damn birthdays :x
