Gained a pound today

It's just one pound. That's still 9 down. I'm a little discouraged because I exercised hard this week and stayed at 1400 cal every day. I'm happy that I feel healthier with so much muscle soreness, I was just hoping the scale would validate my healthy feeling.

Trying to stay motivated. Making a few tweaks to try and do better next week, like not eating after 8p.m. and adding more fruits and veggies to my meals.

I went and bought some new fitness stuff. What do you guys do when you need a motivation boost?

My major motivation boosts comes from music. Also dont be discouraged, if you worked out hard enough that 1lb may just be muscle you have built.

I like to sing when I jog, not only does it keep my mind from worrying about how far I didn't go but it seems to motivate me.

Every extra step you take is one step closer to the perfect body and perfect health! Keep at it your doing great!!

Remember to weigh yourself after a good night sleep, after you go to the bathroom, and when you're naked.  That is the only accurate way, otherwise, what you see on the scale could just be water weight.  You're doing great!  It's such a struggle though, isn't it?

You did not gain a pound yesterday.  Your muscles are healing and when they heal they retain water.

Good job on the nine pounds and keep up the exercise. 

You are doing fabulously. Don't get discouraged. (My boyfriend gained 6 pounds and he almost died over that.)

Just keep working and show that pound who's boss!

Thanks for the encouragement! I try to only weigh myself once a week, but after gaining a pound I had to check it out, and I've already dropped that pound plus another! Tell your boyfriend not to give up!
