Gaining Percentages

i was wondering what percentages (carb/protein/fat) are ideal for weight gain?

ideally id prefer to gain muscle! thanks xxx

It depends on if you're working out. For a normal person, the percentages should be about 20-30% fat, 10-20% protein, 40-60% carbs.

If you're working out, you should up your protein intake (above 20%) since it will make protein more avaialble to your body to use for muscle repair/growth. If you aren't working out, I wouldn't really bother upping protein over 20% sinve your body (kidneys) will just have to process the extra protein, and as long as you're eating enough calories, your body will take the energy from whatever you're putting in (fat, protein or carbs)...However, if you decide to do more cardio (which is really counter-productive if you're trying to gain) then carbs should be upped because they are more readily available in your bloodstream.
