gaining on 2000 rather than 3500?
hi everyone
ive been recovering from anorexia and eating on ave btwn 1950-2250 for about the past 2 months. at first i did gain but in the past 3 weeks ive gone from 93.5 to 95, to 96.5. now dont get me wrong, im very happy to finally be recovering and gaining and getting back to life, i just dont understand why some ppl are told or need to consume much more in order to gain than what i seem to need? i almost feel jipped in not being able to eat as much altho i dont even know that i necessaraly would(slight Ed thoughts).
also, id like to eventually be able to maintain on a nice amount of food, 2000ish id think, and since im eating that now and gaining, im a bit scared? maybe once i weigh more ill need more to maintain my weight and then what i need now to gain, ~2000, will be my maintenenance?
any insight would really be appreciated!
thank you!
were any of you gaining on lower than 2000? i want to go over 2000 to repair metabolism but i am gaining on 1800 so im a little hesitant. did you gain on lower as well? today is sept. 27th... i want to hit my goal weight by jan 1st and its 13 lbs away. thats 13 weeks away as well. i want to do it slow but do it right and best for the future when im done with this stupid craziness.
nutritionist still has me on 1800 but im just looking for your opinions before i see her tuesday so i can tell her my ideas...
DANA-youre gaining on 1800 bc your body is so "hungry" that its clinging to every last cal bc its scared youll stop feeding it. 2000 is mainteneace for many, some maintain on much more, what do you want in the future? to gain on 1800 and have to live on 1300 to maintain? i dont!!!!!!!!!!
to restore your metabolism you need to give it enough, plus, that means 2500 at least, or what ive come to learn.
the Nut is whacked, mine said say at 2000 but that would mean maintaining on 1500 which i dont want, so screw that. eat more!
I wonder why my nutritionist has me on 1800 then?? Im gonna ask her tuesday.
How can I make walking fun?
