SPUNKY-hmm, so this is partly ED and part confusion i think, i was a t 2500 and weighed after 2 weeks and gained 5lbs, stayed at 2500 and 1 wk later the same weight, so you think i should increase by more than 500?

thanks!!

Height: 5' 9"

CW: 97lbs

LW: 89 lbs

Goal: 120

Up about 2 lbs from last week! Yay!

Lala - thanks Smile

I guess when you put it like that, it's not so scary.. I think it was just because I don't weigh myself, so it seemed like a huge amout to have jumped, but I guess it had been a long time since my last weigh-in. I'm back up to about 2300 now I'm feeling better.

Height: 5' 11"

CW: 116lbs

LW: 105lbs

edit: GW: (I.E bmi of 18.5) 136 lbs

Up 3 lbs from last week.  3LBS! I think I could have coped with 2, but three is extraordinary, especially as I haven't been eating anything different.  I don't understand, and that's the worst bit....

This is the heaviest I've been in a long time.

This is a good thing.  This is a good thing.  This is a good thing.

THEO-that is great!  yes, it may be scarey, but youre now 3lbs closer to health, life, and being rid of this garbage and getting on with things!

also, just to remind some ppl, 18.5 may be the minimus cut-off btwn being underweight and a normal weight, and is a great starting point to be out of the danger zone for health risks, but ultimately, being in the middle of the healthy bmi range may be healthier for your body, as in a bmi of 22, so that you can be all that you can be, live your best potential, and also not be at risk for losing weight when sick or something and once again being under weight+unhealthy, just a suggestion!

keep it up everyone!

I'm new here, and I thought I'd post my starting weight and goal weight just to get the ball rolling.

Height 5' 6"

Starting/Current Weight: 115lbs

Goal: 125 lbs

I may end up increasing my goal weight to 130. It depends on how I feel at 125. I would like to be able to accomplish this in 10 weeks or less.

Hey!

ok, I'm 21, 5'6".

Well- I have strange hindrances to my weight gain, let's say that first.

I started the summer at 96 lbs., got as high as 103 lbs. in the beginning of August, then caught West Nile Virus, got really sick, and lost a LOT of weight again.  My lowest was August 16th, 2008, at 81 lbs. I'm still recovering, but am gaining my strength and gaining some weight back! :)

So:

LW: 81 lbs.

CW: 88 lbs.

GW: 100 lbs., eventually 120 lbs. but I'll start with small gains

My greatest tool- snacking on fruits with yogurt or veggies with dip. Love it.

This week:

height: 6 foot

LW : 48 kg

CW: 54kg (118lb)

MY first goal weight: 136 lb

MY eventual goal weight: 149 lb

My doctor's eventual goal weight: 74kg (163 lb)

up 2lb from last week...........

deep breaths and yogic breathing.  Someone please tell me this is a good thing..I'm fed up of having to tell myself.  I'm waiting for this to feel good...It will later, I'm just getting the initial shock effect!

congrats!!! 1 step closer to life+health!!! yay!

Alright alright, I've been putting off posting anything on this thread because I wasn't really in the "weight-gain zone" and was in denial that I needed to be.  But something's gotta hold me accountable.  I weighed for the first "official" time today since increasing my intake to 2500 calories.

Height:  5'6"

LW:  44 kg (97 lbs) - also my weight two weeks ago

CW:  44.9 kg (98.9 lbs)

Not sure what my ultimate goal is - the most I ever weighed was 117 after my very first go at weight gain, but before ever loosing the weight I was healthy at 115 (can't believe I weighed more freshman year of high school than junior year of college!).  The sound of 115 kind of freaks me out right now, so I'm just gonna plan to gain some now and assess when the time comes.

height: 5''1

LW: 80

CW: 85

Goal: 100 minimum :) will see when i get there, but probably going to end up around 105-110

Felt like **** yesterday but am now recognising the wondersof weight gain!  I am off to my seminar where I finally have the energy to argue and discuss!  I'm able to chat in my languages and switch between five of them!  I kick ass in my ballet class because I'm strong now, and still have the muscles built up from yoga and bollywood dance, and the people there like me because I'm happier and upbeat!  And then I'm going out with my rugby boys and I'm going to get drunk and flirt outrageously because I"M GETTING BETTER!

guys.....what is lbs to kg???

theofournay.......well done it sounds like things are really looking up for you!!!

you go girl!

2.2 pounds equals 1 kilogram

I hope you are not comparing weights! It is not beneficial to your recovery.

Kick butt Theo!

Hi All,

I weighed today have gained arnd 3 lbs :))

Last thurs - 103.2 lb

Today - 106.4 lb

My initial target is 110 lb. Eventually i'll try to reach between 120-125 lb.

Well, I'm not really sure where I am this week...

Weight on Tuesday: 102.5

Weight on Wednesday 107 (??!!)--gotta be water!

So, current stats are:

Height: 5'9"

CW: 102.5 lbs

LW: 89lbs

AACK!! Hit the "triple digits"...*long breath* Now if it will only go to my arms and butt instead of the tummy ;) Regardless, though, it's great to have broken that "terrible number" all on my own!

Hey girl dont worry about the triple digits, It's all about being healthy.. forget the numbers! and put away your scale. One thing that helps me is looking at this one picture.  its motivating because  i just look so deathly in it. I cant believe i ever got that low and i dont want to look like that ever again.

I'm new to this but i was reading all the posts and they are so encouraging!

I'm a swimmer who is also being treated for AN.  i love swimming and i had to sign a contract saying id make positive weight gains. I lost 2 pounds last week (i think it was water) and they already limited my swimming more. Its seriuos stuff! but i'm back up which is awesome.

I just wanted to tell everyone to keep fighting the "ED voice" seriously the more you eat, the easier it is to ignore it. and if possible, stop counting/tracking/writing down on pieces of paper(we all know what i'm talking about).

HT: 5'6''

LW- 105.. eeeesh

CW: 120ish? they wont tell me the official weight at the docs office, but i have a scale at home..

GW:125-130  where ever my body settles in at.

I was reading what some people were eating and I just thought that I'd comment that in order for me to continure to gain,  I am eating around 4000-5000 calories a day, on a restricts swimming schedule. So dont worry about eating too much, your body will tell you whats right!

Remeber when "refeeding" our bodies go into hypermetabolic stage (according to my dietician). And thats the cause for hot flashes/night sweats- anyone else have these?

Height- 5'7"

LW: 98

CW:105

Goal weight- well once I get my period back which will be at about 115lbs

Does anyone else think that its hard to watch yourself gain? I mean I look better than ever, but I am alsways scared of change.  Is anyone else banned from all physical activity (my parents let me do little activities but we dont tell the doctor).

hello!! I'll post again even though there haven't been too many significant changes. I weighed earlier this week before leaving for boston and was up another pound to 115!

But i'm a little scared now because I've been working non stop for the last 4 days plus walking around when I was done working, so even though I made sure I was snacking any chance I got, I was so busy, I wasn't really even allowed a sit down meal until dinner every day :\

Theo- OMG you're doing so well!!! I love feeling even a little bit better about myself now and being able to flirt :) have fun with your boys!!
