WOULD NEVER HAVE THUNK YOU WERE A VICTORIA!! <3
Really, what would you have thunk I was then?
I always hated being Victoria - it sounds so stuffy. I tend to go by Tori or Vicki. I'm not really picky about it now that I'm older though.
Sooo off-topic, I know.

I am just starting, but I simply dont think i eat enough and need to do weight training. I will try to eat more calories daily and start there! we'll see how it goes. Also, i might try protein drinks or ensure
Okey dokey. Firstly, I've been visiting my folks for the last couple of weeks so hope everyone's enjoyed and is still enjoying the festive season.
Today I weighed in at 56 kg. I also want to say I've eaten like you would not believe the last couple of weeks. Several days I ate 7000 cals--I'm not joking--, most days I had at least 5000 cals, and was always over 4000 cals. And the only exercise I did was leisurely walking the dog with my folks for about an hour several days a week, wandering the shops a couple of mornings with my mum and dad, and a few swims--not laps, just floating around.
I only gained 2 kg or thereabouts in 2 weeks. My point is EAT, fine people, and ENJOY.
I'm now 1 kg over my minimum BMI. Mwhahahhahahah--only coal in ED's stocking this year!
All the best to everyone,
Mel. xox

Fourth time posting those numbers. I can honestly say that I'm stunned! I was 106 mid-week, and yesterday as well, so I thought that would maintain itself. I've been eating 3000 calories all week! Three days I could've underestimated, though, because they were all uncountables, so give or take 300 calories for three days, which is only 900 for the whole week. So we can safely say that I ate 3000 calories most of the week and didn't gain a pound. I know that I will gain next week, though—I can feel it. :) I can feel it! But I have to admit I am kind of happy at this—if I gain slowly or maintain at 3000 calories, that would be fun in the future. :) I'd be a bottomless pit, lol! Anyways, staying at 3000 for another week and I'm pretty darn sure I'm going to be 106 next week. :)
I'm really not one to talk, but I think you may want to consider weighing in mid-week. A whole week is a long time to wait when you have already maintained a weight for over a week. Your metabolism has probably caught up and you still might not gain. In the past, I was eating 4500-5000 calories a day for a good two weeks, and barely gained more than a pound. Metabolism is tricky, and if you don't pay attention, by the end of the week it could turn out that you've lost one of those hard earned pounds.
Okie, I sympathise with the bottomless pit thing. Slightly over 55 kg today.
You're so right about the metabolism being tricky and needing close attention, rebelchick. You have to be quick to stay ahead of it.
Keep munching, good people.

Your biggest challenge in doing this thing, Rebel! ;-)

On my way and still going!
+Digestion improving massively since altering the makeup of my diet.
Long ways to go with weight and function--but hope now that I'm making progress and have support and camaradarie!
I've officially been at over 3000 since Jan 1st and I'm going to try and stay a few steps ahead of the game and be a solid 3500+ by my next weigh in.
hi all i'm new here so thought i'd get involved in the weigh ins.
well, i'm a new mum and lost all my baby weight plus more.
i am 5"4

wrong place..sorry xD
Bleh. Had to weigh in this morning. I really didn't want to; I felt really bloated. Whenever I get nervous, my system either "backs up" a bit or washes itself out. Today was the former. Not feeling so great.
Starting Weight (November)- 83.5
Last Week - 85/85.5
Today - 87
I feel gigantic. And upset. And frustrated because logically I know, being as tall as I am, that it is truly impossible for me to fat right now. Still. I haven't weighed 87 pounds since May 2008. Its frightening and ED is screaming. I just hope I can get through this day in one piece. After that, it won't be as bad. But just this first day is going to be difficult.
It always is, Rebel, but you have to push through. If you're basing your happiness around the number on the scales, though, I really suggest you start blind weighing so your doctor can monitor your progress but you're not having to dwell on it. Just my 2c. Either way, we're here for this day, and the next, and the next. You can do it.
Thanks lala, you're always such a voice of reason. After about...ooh I don't know maybe half an hour or so, I calmed down and went about my day as usual. I actually felt rather proud at the end of the day - I still had all the meals and snacks that were planned and finished everything. And I even cleaned my room(holy crap! I clean the house, but never my room. I can see my floor!) Great project for distraction.
If I had a doctor to see, I would definitly go that route. I haven't seen a GP in well over six months. And I hate to say it, but if I went now, I would almost certainly be hospitalized against my will. That's why I haven't gone for check-ups or anything. I know I should...I just want to weigh a little more first so I don't end up in court and inevitably committed.

Well, my weight's jumping all over the place at the moment. Two days ago I was slightly over 55 kg. Today I was 57 kg. The moral of the story is water retention, or some such, methinks.
Anyway, the good news is I've reached my minimum required BMI. It's been quite a while since I was last in this position.
Still a way to go, but I'm feeling pretty good. Yes, I have the occasional twinge, and urge to restrict, but they're easier to resist now. And I have more energy, and I'm thinking much more clearly. The old brain is starting to crank up again, and food is not the obsession it once was.
Stay strong, everyone. Don't waste time on ED; I spent ten years at that bastard's beck and call. Life is short, and deserves to be lived. What's more, you deserve to enjoy living it.

That's awesome news, Mel. :D When your weight's really erratic, like that, though, I find it's better to take the lowest number or at least a middleground. So, in your case, the 56kg. 2kg in two days would be water retention, though, yes. x__X
