What are you doing to gain?? How much have you gained?? And what is your goal??
I am 5'7 and currently 118-122. My lowest was 94 so you do the math!!!
My nutritionist says that 130ish is where I should be..anyone else?

usually when people step of a scale and cry its because they've gained heaps. reverse the gain to lose and you have my morning!

well once again until i weigh 56kg my exercise privledges are gone!!! i worked so hard to get to where i was and then i get sick and BAM! i've lost almost 3 kilos! hopefully im better by next weekend. got two parties in one day. my cousins 21st at a buffet and then my friends at her house.... i plan to go all out at the buffet... hehehe
erin, can't be bothered posting on the other post but enjoy your holiday! its perfect weather now.... 36 tomorrow down here... yet i won't be able to enjoy the bike ride i planned cause im not aloud to bike ride now!!!! ONCE AGAIN ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY! i can't wait til you get back so you can tell me how it went... i betcha you'll come back changed, more confident, less edish and more erinish!

Wooohooo! Upped my calories, and upped my weight!
I was worried for this week, because I've started working out again, but since I was compensating, it didn't even matter!
It's nice, I was looking at myself in the mirror today, and realized that I look better now than I did a few weeks ago...less wimpy haha.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. My social life has really picked up! :D I did weigh in yesterday, I just forgot to post.

LINEY- you NEED to increase your food by at leadt 250 cals if u want to get this going.
GOOBY-did u reduce ur eating? maybe add a bit back?!
FLIGHT-hi, meant to add, congrats! how much r u eating now and what is ur increased WO routine? ur about 18 i think?
I've been averaging between 2500-3000 cals, and i only work out three times a week, but it's usually half an hour of cardio and then i spend like, and hour in the weight room, although I'm not sure how much of that is spent lifting haha.
Not a whole lot, but since school started, it's been a struggle to make it to the gym like once a week, if at all.
agruskin - the only thing I think it could've been is a bit of a stomach bug I had for 2 days this week. I felt very nauseous and definitely didn't eat as much as I should've. But it's much better now, and I've got my large appetite back. :)
FLIGHT-im confused, u were averaging the 3/wk gym and now its 1/wk? either way, congrats! i hate excercising, i wish i actually enjoyed it! whats ur cardio?
GOOBY-glad ur better, dont waste time eating more OR let ur weight drop, infact, i think u should work on gaining that pound ASAP bc mentally, its a slippery slope and once u see those numbers start t drop, well i think u should gain it back basically, ya know?
Aw liney, I'm so sorry. On the positive side, just as it's not possible to gain 3kg in a week, I don't think it's really possible to lose 3kg of real weight in a week. Perhaps it's water weight, and you're really dehydrated from the stomach stuff that's been going on, and you'll gain it back quick once your digestion is back to normal?
agruskin- I was averaging close to 0 times a week, and now I'm back at three...my cardio is usually running, or the eliptical or arctrainer for a half hour. I know it's not very good for weight gain, but endorphins just make everything soo much easier.
FLIGHT-30 mins running? id say good thing ur at 3000, thats like close to minimum i think w/that amount of ruuning, its the biggest calorie burner. i jogged yesterday for the 1st time in a long time, not typical for me at all, i ate 2750 but its a rare thing for me to be that active. i dont know what an arctrainer is but i think 3000 could be ur goal. weights r also a big calorie burner and 1 hr?! well 3000 minimum is my thought.

Okay, here goes...
I'm not actually new to this site. I've been snooping around for quite some time, but haven't had the will-power to post before now.
I have had anorexia for 1 1/2 year now, and a bad self-esteem, body-image etc. since 5th grade. After a break-down, I told my mom about it, and she has constantly been worrying about me ever since. Lately (much thanks to reading everyone's posts!) I've come to realize this has to stop. I can't continue like this, and I'm sick and tired of being cold, losing hair, being apathetic and tired all the time.
Today I had my first appointment with a psychiatrist and together we decided that I should stay at home and concentrate on creating safe boundaries for myself there together with my family. I go to a dorm-school, so this means I'll have to do all that work at home. Well, I'll just see it as a sort of vacation I guess ![]()
But to the point:
Lowest weight (today): 47.2kg (104lbs)
Higest weight (pre-ED): 160-ish lbs
Height: 170 cm (5'7")
The thing is, I have no idea how to do this. I'm scared of gaining, and my psychologist and I have agreed to start maintaining for now and then gain. Can you guys please please give me some advice on how I can gradually get accustomed to eating again? This is just super-scary for me right now and I'm not sure I will be able to do it. My hope is that I'll be able to enjoy Christmas this year, though! But I guess that hope is a little bit unreasonable.... Btw, I'm 17!

but I wanted to ask: although I don't have a period anymore, I still get bloated/discharge around a certain time of the month and its been happening this week: I know people gain weight with the period, is it possible some of this weight will be period weight even though I don't menstruate anymore?
sorry boys for that question but to be honest, practically half f this planet bleed every month so get used to it....
