Drinking too much milk doesn't cause weight gain. Weight gain is caused by eating or drinking more calories than your body needs.
I suggest buying skim milk > 80-90 calories per 8oz serving and zero fat. Good source of protein & calcium. (I drink 4 servings every day!)

oh. because i drink so much 2% milk everyday and i don't know.. i feel like I'll gain weight.
i found this milk, the brand is Hood, and it's called "calorie countdown" i think its the same as milk, but it's flavored w/ splenda. i love it, the fat free kind has 45 cals per cup!!
As long as you don't go over your calorie restriction, you should be fine. I know people who drink more than 3 cups of milk daily and aren't skinny. They eat all of the calories they need for the day, but drink lots of milk, which makes them go over.
Fat free milk has only 80 - 90 calories per 8 ounce serving. That's not very much when you consider the nutritional boost you get from milk.
Try to start drinking skim instead. I always used to drink 2%, and then I switched to 1%, and finally to skim. It took me about 6 months to get used to the change but now I hate 2%! And I looooove skim. So if you're worried, that would be your best bet.
Try converting to skim milk, it definately helps. First go down to 1%, then to skim.
When people sit down for dinner and have 3 glasses of milk, they sometimes don't even count the milk they have even though they just downed 270 calories. You just have to keep the calories in mind. Consider a glass of milk as you would a snack or a side plate at dinner.
I'm not saying don't drink it, because it does have alot of protein and calcium. Just don't assume that because it's a liquid, it's not calorie-free. :)

try going down to 1% milk... it doesnt taste much different from 2%.. i personally can't drink skim milk... it is too watery for my taste... but 1% milk isnt that bad either... i just drink one glass a day... but i dont think it would hurt to drink 2 glasses.... as long as you count that towards your total calorie limit for the day...
Soymilk tends to be low in calories (buy "light" over "regular"). it doesn't have the legendary "off" taste that makes most people turn it down (as least the brand I buy doesn't.)
I know loads of nonvegans who actually prefer soymilk. It also has great heart health benefits.
Skim milk, as others have, said, is a great choice if you love the distinctive taste of cow's milk.
