5'2'' and 5'3'' gals - what sizes are you?
you may know this but i am 5'2'' or 5'3''. i wear anywhere from a 5-7 usually, but i used to fit in a 3 :(. anyway, i get the feeling that you guys are thinner than me, (and i don't know my weight.)
what sizes and weights are you? and maybe where you carry most of your weight? *sigh* i carry it all over but have massive love handles and stomach.
Wear s on top, and i buy 25/26 in low waisted jeans.
most of my weight is in my stomach ( yah despite a low weight, i still muffin top, crazy)
I'm 5'2 and about 128lbs.
I wear anything from a UK 6 - UK 10, depending on the shop and the type of clothing. For dresses/tops I normally wear an 8 and sometimes a 6, For jeans/trousers (cos of my large thighs and butt..genetics eh!!!) I wear a 10 and an sometimes an 8, the problem with the size 10 trousers is they are always lose on my waist (ideal for a size 6), which is really small compared to the rest fo me.
My biggest was 189lbs and size 16 (22yrs old).
My smallest was 135 and size 8 (24 yrsold).
But Ive gained some back Now Im 160 and still in size 8 (27 yrs old).
5ft2, 125lb & US size 6/8 (UK Size 10/12).
my heaviest was 166 i wore a size 13
now 152 & i can fit in to a 11
i am hoping to be at 130 by xmas. don't care what size though, i just want to look & feel better.
(bottoms)
I usually go up or down a size with every 10 lbs. depends on the store though. Jc penney is usually HUGE on me but American Eagle is usually tight.
(tops)
166 = XL (comfortably)
152 = M or L (depending on the store)
I'm 5'3", 25 years old, with no kids.
I weigh about 129 pounds right now and I wear a 9 (in juniors) and a 6 (in women's sizes). I can fit a 4 in women's sizes if I want to wear tight jeans. I carry my weight in my butt and hips, and a little in the belly (love handles! muffin top! EEEEK!!)
On top, I'm a small or medium, depending, and I'm a bra size 34B...
When I was 140 pounds, I wore a size 10 women's jeans, and no way no how could fit into juniors stuff. Juniors clothes are designed for women with hips and waist that are similar in size, and I have a very curvy hip:waist ratio that makes me fit women's (evens) sizes better. I think everybody who wears odd sizes (9, 11, 13, etc) should try women's sizing -- just for the vanity! Hahaha :) I love wearing a size six!
Hope this helped!
You sound pretty thin to me. I'm about 5'2 or 5'3, I'm currently at 200, (down 20 YAAAY ME!!!) and I am currently able to fit into some of my 14 on bottom, but, i am pretty busty so I still need my XL and 16 on top.
Oh yeah I carry most of my weight on top around my arms and shoulders, and around my hips don't have a much of a belly, but my hips and thighs make it a real pain to get certain bottoms on.
Depends what kind of pants or what not.
First of all, who cares if someone is thinner than you? Constantly comparing yourself to others is a slippery slope, in my opinion...you'll never be happy that way. Someone will ALWAYS be thinner. Just work on being healthy, and you sound plenty healthy to me!
I'm 5'2, 134-137 pounds, and a size 7, once in a while size 9. That's down from my highest weight of 155 pounds and a size 11 (and once in a while a size 9, but the OTHER end of once in a while, as in only sometimes could I squeeze my ass into them! :D). I carry my weight in my butt and thighs, so when I wear 9s they often fit in my thigh area but then I have a lot of extra room in my waist, while 7s usually fit better all over as long as they aren't super-low-rise.
I'm 5'2" or 5'3", 147, and currently (barely) a size 10. Or, in the case of some possibly mis-tagged cheap Levis, size 8s that are somehow almost too big. Those particular pairs of jeans are ugly anyway, so I just wear them when nothing else is clean or when I can't manage to get the other jeans on. Most of my weight is in my lower body, although my top half has been rather pudgy as of late.
And tops are mainly mediums/larges, depending on the store and the shirt and the fact that I just plainly have a large rib cage and wide shoulders.
I wear a 1/2. Or zero if I feel like sucking in.
I don't know what that actually is, since America's making sizes smaller to make us feel less obese.
I've got a couple handfuls of fat and skin on my stomach and inner thighs, but otherwise I look quite thin. Shirt size= small. If only I had a chest... *my turn to sigh*
You'll feel much better if you don't compare yourself to others- no two people are the same, and you should aim for your own personal best. Lots of luck on getting back into a 3! =]
I'm 5'3" tall and my lowest adult weight was 127 lbs - and that actually is too thin for my build. I look my best at 133-135 so that is my goal. But at that weight (going from prior history) I'll be a 6/8 on the bottom and a 12/14 on the top.
Reading this thread, I've become (even more) peeved with manufacturer's sizing! There are NO regulations or standards! I've decided that when I reward my future weight loss with new jeans, I'm going to take my measurements and head straight for the men's/boy's department!
In high school, I wore boy's jeans all the time. They come in the same styles as women's and finding your size is the SAME IN EVERY STORE. WOOT!
Sorry for the mini-tirade. ;)
I'm 29 years old, 5'2" and 210 lbs, on a small frame... my highest weight ever. I wear 16/18 in jeans and an XL in shirts. I carry my weight pretty evenly all over. I was thinking my goal was to get back to my size 5/6s I wore before I gained, but now I guess I'll just dig out my old "skinny"jeans and measure the suckers to know what that really is! Oh and anyone who's similar to me in height/weight (or not!), and wants a buddy, please message me. I just recently joined this site, and could use all the support, advice, and motivation I can get! ![]()
