Garbanzo Beans and Gravy Recipe
Yummy vegetarian recipe - can be vegan if you use margarine.
| 1/2 | cup nutritional yeast flakes |
| 1/2 | cup flour |
| 1 | t salt |
| 1/2 | t garlic powder |
| 2 | cups water |
| 1/2 | cup light butter |
| 1 1/2 | t soy sauce |
| 4 | cups chickpeas |
- combine all ingredients except chickpeas over low heat. stir for 5 minutes, until bubbly and hot.
- Drain 2 cans of chickpeas and add to sauce (you can add more water if needed). Stir to combine and heat until chickpeas are thoroughly heated.
- Serve over rice.
