Garbanzo Beans and Gravy Recipe

Makes 4 servings



Yummy vegetarian recipe - can be vegan if you use margarine.

Ingredients
1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/2 cup flour
1 t salt
1/2 t garlic powder
2 cups water
1/2 cup light butter
1 1/2 t soy sauce
4 cups chickpeas
Directions
  1. combine all ingredients except chickpeas over low heat. stir for 5 minutes, until bubbly and hot.

  2. Drain 2 cans of chickpeas and add to sauce (you can add more water if needed). Stir to combine and heat until chickpeas are thoroughly heated.

  3. Serve over rice.
