Gas imbalance!?

Quote  |  Reply

Hey guys! I have a question; does anybody else get that gas imbalance in they're stomach and intestines after they eat a lot sometimes? (my nutritionist explained it to me, it's like your body's trying to produce the right gasses to digest your food so it keeps adding more and more to get the balance right) but it's really painful, and it feels like my stomach's rumbling but in my intestines! it really hurts!

Does anybody else get this?
And is there anything I can do to help settle it down?

All advice is appreciated. Thanks! :)

Yes, but mine is usually from stress or a large increase in fiber intake.

Moving helps, especially something that relaxes you and moves your abdomen.  Sometimes if I stretch my arms out on the floor in front of me and kneel with my rear pointed up it helps.  I also find that if I lay on my side and just try to rest, alternating sides, that it relaxes things and helps the gas move on through.  Drinking warm fluids, like hot tea, also can help.

Hope it ends soon!

Thanks so much!
I'll try it out!

happens all the time with me i once ended up in hospital i was in agony they thought i had an apendicitus, it turned out it was just wind :) i have a hiatus hernia to which causes this , although im not to keen on it peppermint tea helps h x

Thanks Tessa.. uhm what's a "hiatus hernia"?
And yum, I love peppermint tea! :)

its where part of the stomach pushes up into the chest h x

I get this all the time especially at dinner and my ribs hurt and stomach pokes out. I hate it because sometimes I get tempted not to eat-I wish there was relief from this.

I have crazy intestinal damages to the point where I had a lot of my large intestine removed - I thought that all my digestion problems would be solved... boy was I wrong.
