Where in the Constitution does it say anything about a fetus's rights? All that story taught me was to make sure your abortion provider is competent, and avoid waiting until the 7th month. And it raises more questions than it answers: why was the doctor not in the room for the entire abortion process? Why was it supposed to take from 6AM to 9AM? Smells fishy to me.

That says nothing about fetuses. Sorry, but contrary to what you forced-birthers may think, I do not see a fetus as obtaining personhood until it's actually, you know, BORN. As for that woman, what I'd rather do is challenge her about the details of her story that just don't add up, like why would the doctor leave for several hours in the middle of a procedure? BTW, I like that even you put "story" in quotations, like you also suspect it's a crock.

Umm, this Hitler reference is scary. Could you elaborate on why you feel this way? 

I don't doubt her story a bit.  I embrace it as being told by a survivor, that someone tried to kill.  I put "story"in quotations because that's how you referred to it. 

At least you are able to define when you believe life begins - We can agree to disagree on that point.  However, I would ask; Gianna wasn't BORN, yet she is still alive - What does that say to you?  Incidentally, I wouldn't put much credence in her recollection of the events of her entry into this world - After all, she was only a fetus at the time.  Wink

Actually, if she came into the world, then yes, she was BORN. Whether or not it was as a result of a botched abortion (which I still highly doubt), it was a birth. Like I said, that doesn't convince me that we should stop having abortions altogether, just that we should get them early and take care in choosing a doctor.
