gee, thanks guys
many of you on these forums are always saying how good nutella is, so when i was at the store with my mom last week, we looked for it. there were only a few jars left, so we bought one. since then, i cannot stop eating it! i thought i used to be addicted to peanut butter, but now that i've had nutella, there's no going back! lol! so i just wanted to "thank" you guys for this new addiction!! and a new thing my mom and i will have to fricken spend money on every week lol!!!
I often wonder if anyone around here reads labels or understands them...lol. Jenningermany hit the nail on the head....the vast majority of calories come from sugar first and oil second. The primary ingredient is sugar...where do you think most of those 22 grams of carbs come from. The oils are also likely highly processed, modified vegetable oils, the worst kind of oil to eat. Only 13% of the content is actually hazel nuts...lol.
I'd equate it on the nutritional scale as about as healthy as ice cream, the hightly processed chemical version not the better more natural stuff....maybe a little worse....I'll take natural peanut butter or other nut butters any day!!!! Better yet, take some nut butter and add your own cocoa or carob powder...make your own!!!
Yeah, but it tastes good and not everything needs to be about nutrition. ![]()

World Market has single serving sizes of Nutella. I'd snatch up a few of those to keep cravings in check!
omg nutella icecream...
wow that sounds heavenly!
*drools on keyboard*
The one and only reason my nut allergy is a good thing..... childhood days of plowing through the whole jar! I didn't get my allergy until my early 20s and grew up on nutella. Part of me misses it but it's one of those things I couldn't say no to!
I never thought I'd say this but, I am so glad that I'm allergic to dairy!
Hey there, sorry to hear your addicted to Nutella ;) There are some alternatives that don't have that hazelnut flavor that I absolutely love and maybe you will too:
Trader Joe's has a version that is just pure peanuts; no additives, no salt, etc. It's fantastic, although it has to be refrigerated and stirred for each use.
It's half the price of Nutella and is relatively good for you, compared to other brands. Give it a shot if you have that store around you.
Best of luck :)

I went back to Walmart today and bought some Nutella. I just couldn't resist! ![]()
double post
i wish i knew how to stop calcount telling me about posts! cos then I wouldn't have read all about nutella ice cream!!! aaarghhh another thing to avoid :D
haha x
No worries about going back to Wally world for more Nutella ;) Don't be too hard on yourself. It's okay to cheat every once in awhile and something as delicious and nutritious as Nutella is such a small thing. Doesn't even feel like cheating! Unless of course you eat the entire jar... ;)
Best of luck

Yup, Nutella is delicious and available in many countries. Here's the detailed info : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutella
There are many copies out there but none of them is as good as the original.
Dear Nutella, I hate your stinking guts. You make me vomit. You are the scum between my toes! Love, Brianna.
