gestational diabetes, and eatting right...
My friend is like 6 1/2 months pregnant and she is trying to eat right for her own health and the babies, but she just found out she has gestational diabetes, thank god it will go away after she has the baby, but untill then shes soo stumped on what to eat that fills her up and has low carbs and low sugars n all that, shes stressing out about it and i wanted to know if anyone can help me give her suggestions on what to eat =) anything helps thanks.
Her doctor should have either given her a diet plan to follow or referred her to a nutritionist/dietician.
Here is a link to a forum about gestational diabetes:

I hesitate to offer advice on what she should eat because I don't know enough about diabetes/gestational diabetes to be making those recommendations. I assume that she should avoid simple carbs such as white bread and white rice. Milk is also very high in lactose (sugar). This does not mean she should cut out grains altogether. Whole grains in moderation are needed even for a diabetic.
She should really get a diet plan from her doctor or ask for a referral to a nutritionist.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
