on wednesday when i weighed myself i was 148.6 pounds. i was so excited. so far i have lost 14.6 pounds. as the day went on things got out of control and its still out of control.
on wednesday i ate a huge lunch. i was like okay i probably won't be hungry for dinner but i became hungry. i then over did it, again, and ate a package of top romain plus a very small cheesecake. i did hard cardio for an hr that day.
thursday morning i weighed myself and i gained 1.5 pounds over night! this through me into a loop. i was so depressed. i tried to do better but then it sucked again for eating habits. after i ate lunch, i had a small lunch this time, i had a little over 300 calories left to eat for dinner.
my parents just came back from germany yesterday and we all went out to dinner at macaroni grill. by this point i was so frustrated i ate 3/4 of chicken fettuccine plate. i wanted to do weights and cardio last night but my neck hurt so i did cardio for 45 min.
i weighed myself this morning and i only lost like .2 pounds from my over 1.5 pound gain from wednesday.
i will be going on vacation this weekend to lake tahoe and im so bummed with my eating habits so far this week. im afraid that i'll gain 5 pounds or more this weekend since i can't track my calories.
my stats
5'4"
current weight off of wed ... 148.6
sex ... female
daily cal intake ... 1550
im really wanting to give this health thing up. does any one have any suggestions to get through this trip a healthy way? we will be doing a lot of hiking and im planing on, if my neck si better, working out at the hotel gym. i don't know how to enter in my calories at a restaurant. or even get an est.
you can do this!! you just have to want it bad enough and put your mind to it! right now it sounds like the 'mental' part is getting to you more than the 'physical' part. what you can do is ask the restaurants for nutritional values before you decide on what you eat. restaurants are bound by law to have nutrition information available, and it's very common for people to ask for them (many different reasons: diabetes, allergies, weight loss, etc.) so they will understand if you want to take a look. another thing you can do is ask the restaurant to serve you only a half portion on your plate and box the other half up so you can take it with you. then, let's say you eat lunch at a restaurant one day and have leftovers - you can just stay back at the hotel for dinner that night and eat the other half of your lunch (this saves money too!)
one thing that i believe probably greatly affected your 1.5lb weight gain over night is the top ramen. that stuff is VERRRRRY high in sodium, causing you to become bloated and retain water; so the 1.5 was probably mostly water weight that will come back off in a few days. until then just hydrate yourself a lot - drink tons of water and tea and you'll be feeling better in no time :)
good luck!
