GGRR - scales not moving dammit!
I was quick off the bat to lose 6lbs....and for the last 5 days the number has stayed the same.
I am sticking to my cal's and doing some form of exercise every day. I have a personal trainer 2x a week. I went for a 2 hour walk on Saturday and Sunday.
Ok... so maaaaybe I'm toning (clothes fit better) - but DAMMIT make the number go down!
LOL. I totally understand your frusteration. After all the hard work you want to see it on the scale when it comes time to weigh in. Dont worry if you keep at it the scale will surely move. Good Luck!!
I'm right with you!... I lost the first 14 pounds pretty quickly and steadily and now for the past seven days, I have only budged .2 pounds. I haven't binged and I was so proud of myself last night when I put food back in the refrigerator instead of eating it when I thought I was hungry. I'm going away to a cabin without a scale tomorrow morning for four days and planning to only bring a limited amount of only healthy food. I'll probably be foraging in the woods for grubs and berries by Saturday, but by golly I'm going to get that darn scale to move! Let's not give up!!
OMG! I so there. Okay it's only been since the 1st but I've only lost about a pound. I'm not eating the crap I was and I'm jogging ever other day. What the...? Last night I almost gave in and had my husband go get ice cream.
It doesn't help that he likes to eat in bed at 11:30 at night. AGHH.
i just started, so i cant say much, but my mom has been my inspiration cuz she lost sooooooooooooo much weight on calorie count and shes been giving me advice.
she said that 2 drop the weight u should add all ur calories 4 the week( 1500 a day, do 1500 times 7) then take that number and divide it UNevenly for the week, like have 1200 one day then 1700 the next and 1400, then 1800...etc. she said ur body will bounce the wieght, but then it drops. just make sure when u divide the days, if u add them all up it still equals the original (ex:1500) times 7.
good luck!!!!:) im gonna try it 2 later on!
I have actually gained this month. I was 162.4 in June, and now I'm at 164.0. I got up to 166 one morning, but I haven't seen 163 at all this month, let alone 162. I'm happy with my new body, because I've lost 36 lb since January, but I'd be more happy if I was seeing a steady loss.
Ah, the dreaded plateau. I'm in the same boat. I have lost 30 pounds since January, but this month I haven't lost any. My weight just bounces between 168 and 170 no matter what. It is frustrating because I am eating better than I ever have in my whole life.
There are two strategies, wait it out or make some sort of change. I guess the most important thing is not to give up.
We can do it!!
The very best advise is to not weigh yourself every day. Once a week and ideally once a month is best. Unfortunately, we are slaves to the way our bodies work. The basic fact is this: it takes 2 weeks (14 days) for anything that you put into your mouth to be fully metabolized. That means that if you have a terrific week you will not see the result on the scale until the following week. When you weigh yourself each day try to think back to what you ate 2 weeks ago. This is very hard to do. We fall into a vicious cycle: 1 good week with either a gain or no loss. So we decide to overeat the next week and have a loss at the scale. Now we believe that it is ok to cheat because we lost weight. I hope this makes sense. Another question to ask yourself:
Would you rather weight 200 pounds and wear a size 10 or weigh 150 pounds and wear a size 18?
Be patient, if you are doing the right things it will work.
I wish you great success.
I know how you feel. I have been doing good or atleast I thought I was. I been doing exactly the same thing for 5 weeks & lost 18 lbs. I weight myself every Friday but today I weight myself & I am exactly the same as last Friday. Maybe I should of just waited till tomorrow to weight myself. I had been losing about 2-3 lbs per week. But not this week.
