girlonadiet introduces herself

Quote  |  Reply

Hi All, I am new of the forum, and I believe my nickname says everything Smile

I am 28 year old (actually almost 29) and I am italian (so sorry, my english is not perfect), but I moved to uk for work at the beginning of the year.   New job, new life, new (few) friends, but the usual old war against the scale Cry

I started the diet one week ago, and today my weight is 99kg.  Even if this is the umpteenth time I go on a diet, I believe all the changes in my life this year can help me to reach my goal.

Well welcome to the board!  I am new myself.  I started a few days ago with the Food Log and so far it has helped me realize a lot.  I forgot to weigh myself though so I will have to do that soon.

What type of diet are you on?

Welcome!

It's not a diet...it's a lifestyle.  If you make permanent changes to you eating habits and daily life you will have much more long-term success Smile

hi mdr411, wellcome you too Wink

maxx86 is more than right, I am not following a specific diet, I am trying to learn to eat healthy, keeping the total calories amount enough low to lose weight.  By eating healthy I mean try to introduce more fruit and vegetables, and try to avoid full carbs days.

This month was very good, I weight myself last saturday and now I am 95.9kg!  I have to admit that to live on my own it's a big advantage, I simply avoid to buy anything I know I should avoid Laughing The only regret is that I couldn't go to the gym often enough because of a busy period in office.

Anyway I am a little bit scared, since the next week I will be back in italy for few days, and certainly I will be surrounded by italian food!!!
