Girls, how much do you gain with your period?
I don't know how much exactly for me, I didn't used to pay attention. But last week i was 48.5 kg (106lbs) and today, now I have it, I'm 49.2kg (108lbs) and I hate it, now I do care cause I've had a bad 2 weeks and Im just curious, how much do you gain? And when does your weight return to normal?
I tend to gain 2-3 lbs before my period actually starts, then I balloon up another 2-4 lbs during my 6 day period. It usually drops back down about 2 days after my period ends. During those god awful 10 days, I try to avoid the scale 'cause it just make me feel depressed and lose motivation to go to the gym. It's definitely all the water weight that your body holds in.
Ugh I'm trying to avoid my scales from now on. I feel horrible!
I gain weight during ovulation - the second week of my cycle - of up to about 2 lb (generally between 1 and 1.5)
On week 3 of my cycle (right before my period), my body mostly maintains that water gain, maybe loses .5 lb, and then as soon as I start my period, it lets it go, and the scale drops.
That's my pattern, anyway, which I've discovered after a few months of weighing daily with the purpose of tracking my monthly fluctuations.
48 kg sounds pretty tiny anyway lol! So at least ur not big to begin with :-)
Still, it's amazing how much small girls can gain before totm.. I'm only 43kg and I always get excited thinking I've gained suddenly... only to find it's 5 (yes five lol) pounds of waterweight! No fair.
Do you find your clothes sit on you funny as well, everything feels tighter on me hehe, I also get really hungry!

That's a good plan. Your body needs to grow and it will get taller and heavier between now and age 21.... that's normal. Children who start getting on scales can find these natural changes more disturbing. Truth is, it would be more worrying and very unnatural if you stayed the same weight or got lighter.
If you 'feel horrible' then you should talk to people close to you about it. At 108lbs you're a perfectly healthy weight for your age and height. So 'feeling horrible' says more about your confidence and self-esteem than it does about your totally normal body.
Avoid your scales.... they don't tell you anything useful at your age.
My record for PMS water weight is a whopping 10 lbs...once I started I was peeing every hour for 2 days!

omg yes! my skinny jeans and shorts are tighter and i hate it!
I'd estimate 4 or 5 pounds...
ugh I always get hungry too.
Haha, my record has been 8 pounds, this month, in the week before my period.
It was so freaking ridiculous. Of course I freaked out, and got on a superhealthy diet, I was exercising and lowering my sodium intake and taking fiber pills.
Still, I barely dropped half a pound even with like lowering my calories.
Then the the first day arrived and I went to the bathroom soooooo many times, I shed like 1.5 kg that day alone. It's day 5 now, and I lost a pound over the 8 pounds of water baggage.
Girl, I wish I only gained 2lbs! Lucky lol. I really gain a lot of weight near my period...Last time is was 7lbs >.< It's been as high as 10lbs before.
When I realized I gained 3-4 pounds when I jumped on the scale durign a perios, I just stopped weighing-in that week. It wasn't accurate and it just made me feel worse and I couldn't even enjoy my chocolate splurges.
I figuire, since it's not somehting you can control, just let that week go.
I gain 5--15 pounds the week before and during my period. This usually goes away afterwards. :(
I gain 5-8 pounds... I've learned that it's best to just not weigh myself at all the week before my period
ahhhhhhhh (: im back to normal! :D
