5'5" girls... I need a buddy, I'm just starting out
Hi I'm just getting serious about this weight loss thing. I'm 5'5" tall and 151lbs. I used to weigh 125-130 so this is very depressing. Anyone else want to talk about it let me know
Hi aimeesoroka!
I'm with you exactly: 5'5" and currently 150 pounds. I want to get down to 130 and saying "twenty pounds to lose" sounds wicked intimidating. I'm breaking it up into 5-pound goals for myself, saying "wow it will be so great to get to 145!" That's very doable and not so daunting.
Money troubles are beyond stressful. I find that when I'm stressed/not sleeping I cant lose weight even with CC and excercise. I try to do deep breathing and meditation one hour a day and that helps me lose weight more than excercise because it lowers my corisol levels! Excercise is great too, but if you're super stressed I've found it doesn't help as much as it "should." Corisol can make you hold onto fat like nothing else.
Keep us updated! We're rooting for you.
I'm in the boat! 5'5, 129, wanting to lose 20 pounds, maybe less, we'll see how it goes. WHAT ARE YOUR GUYS CALORIE INTAKES? MINE IS 1300. I ONLY EXERCISE 30 MINUTES, UNTIL I GET MY TREADMILL THEN 20-60 MINUTES EVERYDAY BASICALLY.
you're 129 poudnds now? or is that what you want to be?

You need to be eating at least 1500 calories a day. Below that is unhealthy for a teenager.

I am 5' ft 2' inch, and 160 lbs. I am asian, and all of my friends and asian girls is so skinny! its so depressing! I wanna be 110 lbs or 105 lbs.
let burn our fat girls!
i'm 5'5 - 145. i'm trying to get down to 120-125. ahhh!
I'm 5'5" and 180lbs. I'm 22 years old and just graduated from college. Between drinking and breaking up with my boyfriend in college, I gained about 20 lbs and 2 pant sizes. I want to get down to 160 (for now) and eventually down to a size 8 pant. I want a lifestyle change. I don't like the way my clothes fit or how I look in them. I want to feel sexy again!! I could really use a support group.
I'm about 5'5.5" and as of last week I was 165 lbs. That was really hard to type. I was at my happiest at 140lbs. 15 pounds seems doable, but I am struggling. During the summer months I tend to go out a lot and indulge in my mother's cooking. Now that I'm back in school, I know that I will lose some of the summer weight (seriously...who gains weight in the summer?!), but not enough without a support team. Since we're all the same height, I think this is a great group of people to keep in touch with.
My problems: cheese, noodles, and binge eating. I LOVE veggies and am always using my wok. My goal is to be to my target goal of 145 by Thanksgiving. Doable? Not sure, but I am willing to try.
Another problem I encounter is exercise. I do it about 3 days a week and it is mostly on the weekends. My days are filled with work, class, and clinical so my activity level isn't too great during the week. I also find it difficult to consume 1500 calories a day. I only eat breakfast and dinner due to class schedule. And to be honest, I'm okay with that because I do not feel hungry during the day. it's werid. Anyway, I'm afraid that my body is going into "starvation mode", thus making it difficult to lose weight. Any snack ideas that are designed for "on the go" type of people?
Hey!

College food is terrible! and have given up exercise all together. All i seem to want to do is relax after a days work or in college!
