5'7" or 5'8" girls! What size are you?
For those of you that are 5'7'' or 5'8'' how much do you weigh and what size are you?
I'm about 5'8'' and i weigh 125ish lbs and i'm about a size 2 or 4. what about you?
im 5'7-5'8
weight:118-120
size:1 at hollister&old navy. 3 mostly though(:
I'm 5'8" !
I'm somewhere between 108-110, and trying to get to 115.
I wear 3 longs, but can only get my jeans from Wet Seal in the mall. Otherwise, my jeans are too big on the thighs or butt =(
Genetically thin, goodness gracious.. Lol
I became a vegetarian after an Ecology/ Biology course in college, and the knowledge I had obtained from my studies included primary consumers, secondary consumers.. ect. Although this class made the concept of a vegetarian make sense, I had been thinking about it months before, primarily due to the reason of weight gain my freshman year (about 30 pounds). I still ate fish, as the article stated, and currently eat chicken (after 6 months of not). Although I could never admit it to my peers or parents, the learned material from the course offered a valid excuse to my conversion, along with a yummy veggy sandwich that ultimately changed my eating habits. I had always struggled with my weight since the beginning of high school, and dieting never worked. Because of this, I began to throw up my food, regardless of what i ate, but it didn't get bad until the height of my weight at 184 lbs and only 5'8" (female). The first two months I lost about 15 pounds, but at the start of my second year, my disorder took over and lost a total of 40 lbs within two months. New bruises showed up everyday without a known cause of why they appeared, and I knew I wasn't getting the proper nutrition. For the past two months I have been eating chicken, but only chicken. I began eating a lot better and noticed a huge difference in the way my body looked. Currently, I no longer consider myself a vegetarian, although I still don't eat pork, steak.. ect, due to lack of trust where the meat came from. I found it so much easier to maintain my weight eating healthy and am now a solid 135 lbs. Although my disorder isn't completely kicked, it is under control and I know the triggers that causes it. This article, to me, is right on, but I'm sure healthy vegetarians outweigh the unhealthy. When teens convert, parents should be a bit concerned and question their motives as to why the sudden change during the most critical years of growing up.

Im a Uk 6 sometimes 8.
i'm 5'8", and weigh around 137lbs. i wear a size 3,4,5 depending on the brand of pants/jeans (or a 26), and a small/x-small in tops. (no breasts...). size 2/4, x-small/small in dresses.
my GW is 125lbs-ish.
Im 5'7" , 119lbs, and usually wear a size 2, or 3. Im trying to get to 110lbs but its sooo hard! Any tips?
Oh my goodness! All of you are so tall and yet weigh so little!
I'm 5'8 and am currently 160ishlbs. The lowest I ever got was 143lbs and I looked and felt amazing! I hope to be back at that weight this summer. At that weight, I was usually a size 7, or a 5 (US). Now, I am back to a 10-12 area. Also, everything I purchase has to be long. Long shirts, long pants. Bah.
To kannedice:
I'm definately sure you'll be back this summer.. winter is usually when everyone puts on a little weight.. just cause you aren't outside as much.. and most of the "eating" holidays are during the cold weather. My highest weigth was 184 and i felt terrible! and now all the clothes i bought during that time don't fit anymore.. like.. i was wearing a 10-12ish and now being a size 6.. even clothes from my junior-senior year of high school don't fit anymore & LOVE IT! Here is a big helpful tip.. train your mind to believe your not hungry.. and eat ONLY when you are hungry. it sounds hard but when you actually believe it.. (mind over matter) you'll quickly see results!
ps. I have ALWAYS had to buy "extra long jeans" & what i've found.. the nicer more expensive jeans usually cater to the taller girl as it is.. and i haven't had a problem since :)
Im just 5'7'' and weigh 84lbs :S
Been in recovery for anorexia for about 2 months now and still only maintaining my weight :(
Im a bloody kids age 10 or 11....even a uk 6 is too big so i can never get jeans to fit! Looking forward to buying a pair of 6-8 jeans again.

Thank you so much for the support. Yes, the winter was a hard time for me...doubly so because it was the first winter I had spent away from home. And the cold. I've actually heard that is okay to put some weight on during the winter, since it is cold and all...but I've gone off on a tangent!
Its nice to know that I am not the only one in this feeling though, and that there are ways to get there- thanks for the tip! I am doing my best to incorporate it into my life! I will be back this summer, and next school year I'll have to knowledge to to keep it that way!
And about the jeans; yep, gotta go to the more expenisve stores. Oh how I love and hate my inseam! :p
Kannedice,
I had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM! My first winter away from home I gained 30 lbs! It wasn't like I was eating excessively every meal. In fact, I also was counting every bite I ate! I also started a food log to track what I ate and how I felt, so that maybe if I wanted that particular food I could look back in hopes of relinquishing my desire. The result? It only made me concentrate on food more, thus making me hungrier by the second.
Another reason is due to the new eating habits and foods your body must adjust to. At the same time, your personal eating habits have totally changed from what you were used to your whole life. Because of this, it takes some time for everything to even out. For me it took about eight months to realize I didn't have to try every entre served in the dorms. Also, just because the schedule is set at a specific time period, doesn't mean I have to eat if I'm NOT hungry!
Listen to your body and eat small healthy snacks <<slowly>> between meals. Pace yourself, don't worry.. and be happy! I'm sure you'll be one hot mamma by summer, even if you don't feel it.. I'm sure others will notice "that" girl walking by!
I'm 5'8" and somewhere around 160 lbs. I wear a size 7 in some brands and 9 in others. I think if I got under 140 I'd look kind of scary! I can't believe some of you are 5'8" and like 115 lbs. You must have no muscle or something. If I weighed that much, I'd be dead! I guess frame size has a lot to do with it.
I'm 5'7" and 158 pounds, US size 13. I wanna reach the 130s by fall.. :]
and wow! So many of you have such small sizes! Jealous ;]
Ech2145;
Yeah, I am pretty much the exact same as you. The lowest I ever got was 140lbs, and my mother was constantly fretting. I didn't have and ed or anything, I had just lost alot of weight, and she was proud of me, but she didn't want me to loose anymore. And I didn't want to either. I felt great at that weight! I'm sure I'd be dead if I wanted to reach 115lbs! But it probably has alot to do with frame like you mention. I have breasts, a bum, and I need muscle because my job required physical strength, as did my life on a ranch.
And Skigurl242,
Thank you so much! I feel so relieved to realize that this isn't all in my head! I also kept track of the food I ate, and the same thing happened to me too. Thank you SO much!

Size 12, very very full hips though. Damn.

Now thats what I call an awesome victory
I'm 5'9" and I weigh 222 as of right now and I wear 17s.
I can wear a 16 in skirts, but my thighs prevent me from wearing 16 in jeans.
I am about 5'9" and weigh 153 lbs. I am wanting to get down to at least 145. I would be happy there but 140 is my happy goal! I can wear many different sizes I am finding out! Depends on where I shop! I usually get in to a size 9 but not really comfortably but an 11 in most pants fit alittle lose. I am used to squeezing in to a 9 so I think an 11 would be just right but I dont want to admit it
I'm 5' 7.5" and I weigh about 123 on my scale, which I think it's accurate (i've done many tests). I'm usually 4 pounds more at the doctor--but I've heard to not trust the doctor because so many people weigh themselves on it and stuff.
ANYWAY
I usually wear small-xs tops and my dresses are usually and 4 and my jeans are usually a 2,3 or 4 depending. I have 7s jeans that are 27--but a little big on me. And BDG jeans that are 26 (:
