Girls in their 20's who want to lose about 100 pounds
Sweepie, I can just imagine the ornaments being all over the house! How awesome that would be. We don't have shelves or a chandelier, but I'm sure I'll come up with something to make it hang (and those gave me some ideas). I don't really feel like forking out the money for a small tree that we'd only use once or twice. I just need to be sure to keep them out of harm's way.
Miabel, sorry about the grades. Hopefully they don't count as too much. Plus, I'm sure you'll be able to bring them up by the end of the term.
Boots....CONGRATS!! I know you've been struggling and frustrated with the lack of loss (at least partly), so that's awesome you dropped the weight. It seems so weird how certain things work for some people and not others.
Dani, 211 is crazy awesome! I'm sure you'll continue to drop pounds, because you have been working more than just the training sessions on your own. Can't wait to see the dress!
Qt, very exciting about the clothes. I know how awesome it is to start getting back in the old stuff. I have a shirt my sister got me that just never really fit right. It's almost the right size...my arms are still too large for the sleeves.
Oh, and you can keep calling me Liza if you want. Top is fine too, I don't really care. I just don't want to be in all the forums and be recognizable to somebody. Paranoid, I know, but hey, there are people who I like to keep out of reach for a reason.
And I've been whiny lately (I know, I know) about my loss and stress and all. I followed through on my guidelines, and this morning I weighed in. I'm almost post-TOM (which is typically when I drop the most weight) and have lost 4.6 lbs from last week, although I was up 1.6 lbs, I think, from the week before. Still, I think I did actually gain. But, was very exciting to see 295.2 on the scale. I stepped off and back on. Every once in a while I have to do that cause I just don't trust it. My scale is very accurate, though. I can step on and off and it is extremely rare that it isn't the same amount. So, I'm moving down again! Oh, oh...and last night I walked at the park which I haven't done in a while. I used to do little running spurts. The loop is about 1/3 of a mile. There are lights every so many concrete squares, give or take. Well, instead of running 2 lights forward, I was able to do three. Granted, I only did one per loop (one light is very short), but I must be building up my ability to do this, even with time taken off of cardio. I'm a lil sore today though.
Ok, hope everyone's out enjoying their Sat night. Hubby has company over watching a football game. Bleh...college football. just not my thing.
Top:congrats , I knew you would see a number you liked :) .....Keep up the great work!
ally, i can't officially call him my bf yet since it's not official, but he was considering the idea of bf/gf yesterday (at an inopportune time, so i decided to ignore what he was saying). still don't have a nickname yet!
Well Everyone!
I am Excited to say... I am down 12 lbs since Monday... I always lose weight really fast like that in the first few weeks. Im really excited about how I am doing :)
just saying hi to everyone. hope things are going well. still skimming all the posts, just not in the mood to participate much... feeling kinda blah about life but pushing through. worked late on friday (til 1:30 AM), then worked out yesterday and also saw a great play last night and had the best sushi :) have to do a bit of work today, also gonna clean and sort clothes today and just watch some made-for-tv movies in my pjs :) will probably hit the gym in the evening.
Thanks boots! It's nice to see the lower number.
Dalma, how about McYummy, since you make it sound like you could just eat him right up?
Grats addisyn! That's awesome!
Watchme, glad to hear from you. You have been quieter lately, sorry about the feeling blah. What play did you see? I miss going to plays. They have some here, but we only have 2 theaters with shows only every so often. And I miss comedy clubs. You do those too?
Ok, good luck to everyone pushing on and eating right. I bet we'll lose a bunch between now and Christmas!
mcyummy, nice!
Haha, glad you like it!
Hello ladies!
I've been out of here for a few days due to frustrating myself because my treadmill suddenly stopped working. I hope the service center will be here by the next few days to fix it. I really need to work out right now and the idea of going to the gym is not really on my mind right now. I have only lost 3 lbs this week, that's very little I think. I hope to do way better this week. wish me luck. :)
hey shandi! 3lbs is great!! my doctor recommended 1-2lbs a week to REALLY get the weight off and keep it off :P dont worry if it takes a while its totally worth it!
two more days of school and im going home for thanksgiving! i feel like its never going to get hereeee. im so done with school........all my teachers insist on double testing (two test on the same day) and its driving me crazy!! it happened last monday and i had an anatomy & physiology test hours before my intro to comm. disorders test........my brain was shambled and i did bad on both test.......really bad! ughhhh
on a lighter note, im down 42lbs since i joined CC in june!! yay and i cant wait to go home and eat on thursday! lol
hope everyone has a great monday!! :P
Hello miabel!
Thanks for lightening my thoughts up. I'm quite enjoying my diet now compared to my past attempt so I'm feeling positive about it.
haha, two days more. Enjoy your thanksgiving! we don't celebrate it here so yeah, enjoy yours. and congrats with the weight loss too.
mia, 42 pounds since june? wow! i've lost, let's see...a little over 20 pounds since june, so you're doing great! and shandi, 3 lbs in one week is incredible! don't discount it. sooner or later, that could change to 3 lbs in a month, so don't knock it!
Dalma - yeah I know its a good thing since I'm losing weight. I just hope it doesn't get to that 3lbs in a month coz i really need it now. hehe..
hey everyone :)
started calorie counting more seriously again as of today. perfect timing being right before thanksgiving, eh?? ;)
hope everyone is doing great. miss you all.
wrote a journal entry for the core. decided i'd like to hit an 18W by the end of the year. my goal for my bday (Feb 12) is a 16W. that's probably too ambitious since i only have 3 months to get from a 20W to there but i'm still gonna try!
not feeling well today... hubby's been sick and now he's given it to me. stuffy nose, cough, the works... woohoo! just trying not to let it affect my eating and exercise. it will be tough though. hope you all are having a great monday.
watchme: we gotta have goals right? I'm hoping to be at my goal weight by June--a little too ambitious yea but it keeps me motivated!
qt: hope you feel better
Well ladies! I posted a pic of me in the dress! Don't mind my laundry basket in the background. :) I look hot :)
I'm off to California til Sunday so I might not be on here much! Any suggestions for "must do" things in the Bay Area?
O Dani--you are definitely bringing sexy back!!!!!!! Of course I live in the Bay Area but I don't know where to go..If you have never been then of course see the Golden Gate Bridge, and if you can get to the Ocean that is a must...If you can get to the Farmers Market on Saturday at Embacerdero (not sure of spelling) that is also a must...Um and then just driving around and seeing all the different areas is really neat..I hear Oakland has a great museum.......hmmm....that's all I know
Hi girls,
It was an alright day...work was fine. I hate arguing with hubby. And he always wins, in my opinion at least. He so should have been a lawyer as the saying goes. Just takes so much out of me when we really get into it.
Shandi, sorry about the treadmill! I can't imagine my elliptical going like that. Can you do cardio tapes or something if you don't want to go outside? And 3 lbs in a week is great! On here, they recommend 2 lbs at the most, and that's what most of us probably max out at. Sometimes more, but many times less (ok, except for Dani who has been busting her bum doing the BLC!!).
Miabel, I hated having to wait for breaks at school!! Sorry about the testing. Hang in there chica!
Watchme, timing is great. This way, you'll not gain all the lbs everyone does during the yummy holidays. I love homemade cookies
qt, hope you feel better! Just make sure to take it easy with the exercise. When you're sick, it takes more of a toll on you.
Dani, you and the dress look awesome!
Ok, can't wait for Wednesday to get here. Cause I'm free after that.
