Hi, my name is Suzanne and I am 23 years old. I weigh 258.3 pounds(yikes) and would really like to get down to between 140 and 150. I was wondering if there was anyone else out there in their 20's who has about that much they want to lose. We could work together and stay motivated to reach our goals!!! Also, if there is anyone in their 20's who has lost that much and wants to share their success story, I would love to hear it! Thanks!

Fallon - I'm on POF too lol... I'm all crazy over a boy from there right now. I say, go with your gut. If your gut tells you that he is being honest and it is safe to meet him, go for it. But protect yourself... meet in a public place, at least the first time. And definitely talk on the phone first. You can get a way different impression about someone by hearing his voice.

I'm sooo sick today. I've been browsing over the posts but just can't seem to get caught up. I really hate feeling like crap.
So, does it mean I'm addicted to CC if I enter each Halls I eat lol.
Oh, and on the package of Halls it says to only have 2 per day! Are you kidding me?!?! I'll probably eat the whole package haha...

Celestial Seasonings has an amazing tea called "White Pear". It is soft and sweet, so there's no need to put any milk or sugar in.

Does anyone know anything about psyllium fiber? I tried this cereal today called "Guardian" by Kellogg and it's AMAZING. Has a brown sugar flavour with OK stats. It mentions that it is a good source of psyllium fiber which means nothing to me :( I would love to know if this is something I need, or is it more for the "older folk"?

I just joined today..I am 23 years old and weighing in at my heaviest (over 300) Im pretty much at a loss as to how I even allowed myself to get this big. In high school I was always really active, non stop go go going. After I met my current boyfriend a little over 4 years ago, and got introduced to Video games, lol, it slowly started packing on.Oh and I'm 6'2" .


I am in my best friends wedding next July. December is the Final Fitting for our bridesmaid dresses and my "goal" is 75-100 pounds lost by Dec 20th. I know that seems a bit unrealistic, but I believe with a little self-control and A LOT of support I might be able to do it.

I don't think that 75lbs by December is a completely unrealistic goal. You have almost 9 months, and 8-10lbs a month is totally doable! That's my goal too!

hi sarahbear! Welcome to our group! You will find tons of support here! I too just found out I am in a wedding next September! My hopes are to reach my goal by next may, so hopefully I can do it. You can do it too!

Hi Sarah!  I actually have a really similar goal: I joined on 3/17 at 229, and would love to be at 155 by the New Year.  So far, I've lost 7 and a half pounds :)  I've been a bit off this past week, but I think it was because I started out too low with my calories, I was eating 1400.  This week, I'm trying a 1600 calorie target, so hopefully I can get back on track :)

Fantasy you are almost my weight loss twin! I started at 227 around the same time as you! I would like next year's resolution to be MAINTAINING my weight as opposed to the last 12 years of resolutions which have been to LOSE weight.
fantasay, I have been trying to eat 1400 hundred calories too, and so have been failing misserably! I am going to try for 1700 now and see if I can stick to it better. It will take me a little longer to reach my goal, but it's better than not reaching it at all!

I think for me 1400 was more than a 1000 deficit.  I re-looked at my burn and stuff, and saw that I burn about 2500 at my activity level.  Hopefully staying around a 900 deficit goal will keep me from going to a bigger deficit :)

Hey guys , Happy Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!  yeah @ the speed that this thread is moving I don't think that there is any way that we are going to be able to personally comment every single person like before.  Undecided   But hey no worries! That is not necessarily a bad thing Laughing , I think everyone realizes how supportive and informative this thread is so the more the merrier!!!  

A while back some of you where commenting on  calorie cycling.. it sounds pretty interesting but not like something that I personally wanted to try but then yesterday my sister told me she is on this insane diet that is like this extreme version of calorie cycling,  (Our brother is getting married next month so she wants to fit into a great outfit even though she is not  "fat")  where she eats nothing except liquids one day and then she can eat the next day. On the days she eats she doesn't pig out or anything but she can eat pretty much any type of food. The horrible part isn't that I think that this is extremely unhealthy it's that it's actually working for her and I am soooooo  tempted to try it!! Embarassed  Please talk me out of it.

Good morning everyone! THis morning the scale said....drum role....222! My goal for next Tuesday is 219. I think with starting the couch to 5k and my current calorie intake I can do it. I am determined to get out of the 220's.

It felt huge when I got down to 219 this morning. I just can't imagine how I've let myself get this big! Before my 'depression' stage I weighed 170. What I would give for that weight right now. My goal is to get to 170 by September 31. If I do that my mom said she would buy me an XBox 360 and I can get more DDR games!!! I love DDR and for anyone who loves video games, you'll love DDR.

Ugh, posting on my break and got to go back to work.

Hi Rgn. I would like to be at my goal weight of 150 by my 29th Bday(Sept 28th). To do that I would have to lose 3 lbs per week. I know it is possible,but maybe we can work towards our goal together. I would love to be at 170. That is 52 lbs away. Sounds far, but I know I can do it.
