Hi!

I was wondering if we could start supporting eachother.

I'm very short, and unfourtantly all of my weight goes to my stomach b/c it has nowhere else to go/

I want to know if anyone else has this problem and if we can support eachother.

I am a teeny smidge over 5' and I have the same problem. I'm trying to lose around 6 kilos, ideally by the end of August...are you trying to lose weight too?

All my weight seems to like to hang out in my thighs. I've reached my goal weight, so now I'm just trying to maintain.

Yes, I'm trying to loose around 60 pounds  by next june, which is when i graduate. I'm currently 175. How much is 6 kilos in pounds?

 

Yea, I guess now that i think about it i have fat around my thights as well, which is a problem, bc when i walk they rub together :[ which is embarassing.

Yeah totally not fun being short. I'm 5' and 129 ish lbs and I feel so huge. Even when I got my weight down to 100lbs I still was a chubby person. But now I'm just ughhh about it. I would love to get that 100 back lol. W

 

What does everyone else at this short height do with calorie allowances a day? I've been trying to just stick to 1200 but always find myself at 1400.

How is 100lbs and 5 foot chubby? That's really offensive. I reached that weight and I was not chubby at all, and I'm 4'10.

yea, it is a little weird to think that at 100 pounds ur still chubby, but i havnt seen you.

 I guess it is possible that she lost weight but didn't retain alot of muscle.  The best advice I can give...for anyone dieting is to do strength training while you are dieting.  This helps to retain the muscle which gives you that "toned" look while losing some fat.

I would suggest checking out the "fitness" forum.  They have some wonderful people there who can guide you in what strength training is.  Losing weight doesn't always have to be nothing but cardio and running. 

6 kilos is around 13 pounds.

Paintemgold, if you saw yourself as fat or chubby at 100lbs...that isn't good. I can assure you that you most definitely weren't chubby at that weight. I'm only a tad taller than you and at 100lbs I looked incredibly sickly and frail. Just be careful if you're aiming for 100 lbs, okay?

I eat around 1300-1400cals/day. I don't exercise that much but I am on my feet for 6.5 hrs a day, 6 days a week with my cashiering job.

Yeah I know that I probably seem crazy, but I have just naturally chubby cheeks and thighs and whatnot and I just seemed more disproportioned if anything.

i think as women we all have fat on our thighs.

I'm 4'9 or 4'10 and YES any time i gain even a little weight you can tell because it goes to my thighs and stomach!

I was actually wondering how many calories people my height eat? because it just can't be the same as people that are like 5'7 or something! and I'm only 17 just in case...

i usually try to eat around 1300 hundred calories.

ohh and do you workout? because I don't at all :/

I'm 5'0 and 125 lbs! i'm trying to get down to 115 the healthy way and eventually to 110. I'm more focused on toning rather than the number on the scale. I want to get abs for the first time in my life and have runners legs :) I want to be able to eventually do a marathon or something and feel accomplished. Right now I'm eating about 1600 calories a day but sometimes I find that I don't even eat that much because I get full really easily. I also do the 30 day shred about every day or if my muscles are sore, every other day. I walk my dog daily for about 30-45 minutes as well. I'm going to start taking a Yoga class and do some Taebo at home from Youtube so i hope those are affective! What do you ladies do to work out??? Laughing

Abs would be amazing, but i still have a long way before that.

I really like the stationary bike at my gym...dunno why i just do lol

Also i'm getting a personal trainer this summer for 2x's a week, 30 mins each time.

And I'm a lifeguard, so i often swim a few laps when im there.

Oh a personal trainer sounds awesome :) Good luck with that! I'm sure you'll get so toned! I'm waiting for my pool to open and it to get a bit hotter outside but once it does, I'm definitely swimming laps DAILY! I need to get down to 110 by August!

this group sounds perfect!  i'm 5'1" (on a tall day) and am currently 119 lbs.  I worked out a ton last summer and was very dedicated to using this website and I got down to 110 lbs.  This past year was my senior year of college, so I kind of just had a "screw it" attitude and just wanted to have fun haha so I gained back a little over 10 lbs over the course of the year, so I'm just looking to lose that over the summer!  I try to eat around 1200 cals a day, but I rarely am that low, and especially if I work out I allow myself more cals.  During the day I work at an office, so it's difficult to be active and many times I come home I'm so tired so I don't want to go to the gym/go for a run. 

Anyway, what are some low-cal/healthy things you guys eat?  I'm trying to work on my cooking skills so any advice would be welcome!

I did gymnastics for 5 years and unfortunately, I was one of the girls that gained lots of muscle.....i gained a lot of weight during my freshman year so i really want to lose about 10 lbs over the summer so that i can go back to school looking great!! good luck everyone!! :)

I love turkey-quesadillas. I get half a whole wheat tortilla (about 60 cals) and put about 45 cals worth of turkey and 2/3rds of this amazing swiss cheese (40 cals) so it comes out to 145 and it's really filling and yummy, but if its not enough I'll make egg whites to go on the side (I like getting a lot of protein)

ooh! and since berries are in season, I love a strawberry, blueberry, and kiwi salad. It's colorful and tastes amazing!
