(18-25) 5'8"-5'9" girls wanting to be 125

Quote  |  Reply

I'm 20, currently around 148 with a sm/md frame, and want to get back to 125. I was 155 at my highest last month! A year ago I weighed 125 but ballooned up after developing a BED. Right now I'm aiming to lose 2 pounds per week and want to be done by December.

Any others out there? What's your highest, your goal, and your story?

I'm not 5' 8", but I wanted to make a quick comment all the same:

Your profile says you intend to eat 1,200 calories while working out six days a week. If you stick to your plan, you'll be starving your body. You can lose weight by eating more than that, and in fact will lose more weight by eating more than that. If you eat that little, soon enough your body will rebel.

I'm very active, and at 5' 3 1/2" and 109 lbs. I know I'd be weak and starving on 1,200 calories—unless of course my body eventually adjusted by slowing my metabolism. You don't want that last to happen to you.

Additionally, your goal of 125lb at 5'8" would put you at a BMI of 19 (lower if you are 5'9"), which according to this site is underweight. You might want to rethink your goals, especially considering your having a history with an eating disorder.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate your concern but this is one of the only sources that says a BMI of 19.0 is underweight. Everywhere else that's perfectly healthy and it's where I feel comfortable in my body. My bodies the boss, I'll be listening to it if I get hungry after the 1,200 are up. There many other factors that go into this such as being hypothyroid and in a location where I wont be able to exercise as much as I was hoping. Thanks, but I'm really just looking for cc buddies.

Hi!

I am 5'8" and currently 127, down from 143. I am working towards 125, while weight training to get a more toned body. I started counting calories in May and I am so close to my goal! I usually eat between 1250-1350/day and a bit more on days that I weight train. After reading your profile it seems you have a good plan to achieve your goal. Because you are already at a healthy body weight it tends to be more difficult to lose, so if you do not reach your goal by December, don't be discouraged!

Before I had my second child I was at 125 - 130, i'm 5'8 and now i weigh 165...

I am breastfeeding so that helps me loose my weight quicker, and I had the baby 2 months ago. With my first son after giving birth I weighed 175lbs and made comitment to myself working out 5 days a week, plus I was breastfeeding. I drop about 50pounds in 6 months and only had under 2000 calories per day. I was not starving myself, I don't get hungry often and my milk supply is really good/full for my baby. I am hoping to be 130 again by Feb and get back into my regular clothes....
