Not sure if this is going to work but I owe it to myself to try. I've been battling weight loss/gains all my life and I need to try AGAIN.

I think this approach of counting calories is great. I've tried pills and other quick fix methods but nothing works for any long period of time.

So, hello to everyone in my shoes and good luck!

Welcome.  I'm in the same boat.  All my life I have struggled with the same weight.  On again off again.  It gets harder as I get older.  I'm determined this time.  Started 6 weeks ago and am down 10.4 lbs this morning.  It is a stuggle to watch it go so slowly but it is going.  I have to keep telling my self that.  This site is also helping me with portion control and making healtly choices.  This I hope will help me maintain when the weight comes off. 

Good luck.  Keep pressing on.  And remember it won't happen over night but it will happen.
