hi people!
i have been tossing around the idea of giving up sugar for a while now. i've finally decided to definitly do it. i want to go basically cold turkey besides sharing desserts with friends and such on special occasions.
anyone else out there in the process of giving up sugar or want to start?

i would love to give up sugar with you! i watched the video. I definitely have a sugar addiction, i've tried to give it up a couple times but I really want to get rid it out of my system once and for all. Let me know if you start a group!
Awesome! Guess we're the only ones, but I will start a group if I can figure it out. :)
How's it going for you? This is my second day sugar free------so far.
We also have about the same stats/goals,so that might help too....I am 5'3 and never weighed over 120 until now. Suddenly I'm 128 and want to get back down to 120ish asap.
I started group. "kicking the sugar habit."
join join join!!!!!!
I am 3 days sugar free and feeling great.
I need to give up sugar as well but there are SO many foods with sugar in them. What is your strategy for eliminating sugar? Also, are you having any withdrawal symptoms?
I guess I'm not being extremely intense. I am not eating any desserts, muffins, etc.--anything that obviously has sugar. I am eating tons of fruit and other "natural" sugar instead. I am also allowing myself granola bars with less than 8 grams of sugar, but only in moderation (only eaten one in four days!).
I haven't had any withdrawal symptoms besides cravings, but I always had those anyway! It's a nice change to tough it out or to eat an apple when I am craving a do-nut.
I think I will incorporate chocolate back into my diet after a week, but only when someone else offers it to me. I don't want to ever sit around by myself eatign dessert again.
I actually feel pretty great. Regular food tastes better, too!!
Hi! I would like to be a part of this. I am a Type I diabetic (my body does not produce insulin) and I need to get control of my blood sugar numbers. Since August, I've decreased my A1C from a 9.8 to a 9.1, although it's supposed to be between 6 and 7! I have to give up all the sweets I love to eat: candy bars, sweet tea, ice cream, etc.
I'm definitely going to need a support group to do this!!
Count me in, I'm done with sugar!
!come on people, lets bring this forum back to life!
