Is my goal healthy?
My goal is to remain 105 lbs. I'm 17 and 5'3" tall with a, I dunno... medium sized frame based on the whole wrist measurement deal. My mom says I'm a bit "too skinny", but I feel okay.
I like to do some exercise everyday, but I haven't been able to do anything like running because I dislike the cold so much. I alternate days of eating 1450 to 1650 calories, to try and keep my metabolism revved, or whatever.
Do you guys think my goal is healthy, or not so much?

That's really not unhealthy, really. As long as you're not trying to lose. The rule is 100 pounds for 5 feet, and 5 pounds for every extra inch, so the ideal weight for you would be around 115. So, if you gain a couple pounds, it really wouldn't hurt, but I don't think you're underweight. It'd be best to check for your BMI, just to make sure you're healthy.
You're probably right, but I have such a guilty feeling when I over eat or feel stuffed, so it's hard for me to eat more calories than I mentioned. 105 puts me at a 18.6 on the BMI graph, which is still above 18.5 (underweight), so I'm comfortable there.
Thing is, it's very easy for me to suddenly lose a pound or two and end up with a BMI of 18.4 or lower.
Is such a random fluctuation unhealthy, or just natural?

It's perfectly healthy. These random fluctuations are just us gaining and losing water weight. While working out, I've weighed myself 4 times about every 25 minutes. I've gone from 119 to 116 to 118 to 115 in a matter of an hour and a half. It's cracy lol
I think you are healthy. I'm 5'2 and 101 pounds and I'm healthy looking. It's your body type and size....as long as you feel good about your weight: your clothes feel good, you're eating healthy, you're not depriving yourself. you should be fine :)
Seeing as you are an older teen, I would say that you're borderline. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but definitely don't try to loose weight. As you get older, you're going to gain, and that's fine.
Generally, if you feel healthy and have enough energy you're at a good spot.
Honestly i dont think thats a bad goal at all! Im 19 yrs old 5*6 and 125 and all of my family says im way too skinny! Its just all about how you feel and what makes you happy. Im trying to loose 5-10 lbs but my bf tells me if i do that he thinks ill blow away! Dont worry as long as your maintaining and not trying to lose there is nothing wrong with it at all! good luck with it!
Sounds healthy to me :) Im also 5'3 and 105 is my goal weight! Currently 107 And your calorie amount sounds very healthy :) Good Luck with maintaining that weight :)
Thanks, you guys, for the positive input. I definately don't want to lose any weight, so that's all cool, and I doubt I'll purposefully gain any weight unless I grow taller. (Doubtful that I'll grow, though. My mom is 5'2")
Purrfectprincess- Awesome! I didn't know there was anybody else with my goal and size. Nice to know, so thanks for responding. ^^;
